i have got my test on moday but the reverse is always the issue for me. i have been told once the trailer is straight after the one right turn i should make a quarter turn to the left, but seeing here you are doing one turn to the left 12 o clock.. i will try it out and see how it goes today.

Done mine today and after 4 hours i walked, got stressed.! Id had enough 3 hours in..Went in for test and i fucked it..needed 2 shunts ro get straight. . Fucked that up. So walked of the test! Didnt get taught this way. I got taught to full lock right and look out for the yellow plate on the rear of trailor..Then full lock it other way driving down the yellow line. At this point im going across the rd waiting to get striaght but im miles out..all over the pllace trying to get it back into the yellow box!.This way seems so easy to do.

Just passed my 3a today and am finding these videos great refreshers as it completely bashed my brains in and I've forgotten half of it 🤣Throughout my learning and exam they had me lowering and raising the suspension on the unit to get under the trailer. Complete pain in the backside and confused me so much as it wasn't included in any of the learning material or BLACK. This little black remote control just came out of nowhere.

Just passed my 3a, reversing and un/re-coupling, after around four hours training this morning and came here to refresh everything. It's really interesting you guys put on a full right lock on. They had me coming back in a gentle arch after straightening up across the line after the first turn. I was still straightening up as my trailer was coming into the cone bay and found it dead awkward as I could see bugger all out of the near side mirror. Lining up with just one mirror was just no good. Definitely needed one shunt! This way looks like you have much more room to correct lining up as you're coming back. The truck was an absolute dog as well. MAN. Really difficult to tell if the thing was parked straight without the trailer on. Felt like I was driving a shoe that's two sizes too small!

Does the red trolley represent the lorry😂 I'm confused how it represents load distribution on the lorry. Confused when u say the top part represents the head board and body of vehicle

It sounds easy in the video but in theory tests, they can ask for confusing calculations. Here is a typical question from a Theory Test: "Martin arrives at work in the morning to find that John, the FLT driver, has already started loading his vehicle with pallets of cardboard. Hello, I am struggling with the reverse exercise, have failed my test today . I have been told to do a full right lock until seeing the black mark on the trailer and then a full left lock slowly moving backwards to straighten the cabin with a trailer ,but that seems to put the trailer at such sharp angle And basically puts the front right wheel right on the yellow line or almost over, so I am stressing between going over the yellow line without seeing anything and not understanding my positioning relatively to the cone I am suppose to go around by the time I see the cone I have very little room left to direct the trailer into the parking bay and give it the correct angle and no room for a mistake at all when it comes to steering … Seeing instructors do it with ease puts even more pressure 🤣 thanks for the video!

I’ve watched this video around 30 times. Got my test today and my instructor has been crap. Must of only had 30 minutes practice reversing, in an old factory car park with no proper cone set outs or barriers to reverse into. I’ve no markers for reversing into so I’m going into this blind this morning. Hopefully this video gets me through. 👍

Isnt that example of 15 minute rests over 12 hours wrong? You need 30 mins over 9 hours in the example given you worked 10 hours before the second break

Noticed the driver put his head under the body of the truck to check the wheels arnt touching I was told not to do that and to stand near the front wheels to see it and not to stick your head between the bars, I have you all week for my lessons on Monday

This is a very tricky roundabout given the size of it and other motorists not staying in lane, not many giving hgv’s the chance to stay in the actual lane they need to complete the turns

Kevin Ward is a brilliant instructor & helped me pass my class 2 this week ,He is a fantastic coach and helped me out with this roundabout, it is a dangerous one as normally someone will cut you up to just to pass you…

Another great vlog from the guys at TNLA, how you doing Kev? hope all is well...onto Class 1, i should have taken up the opportunity to go on this when i passed class 2 last year, but wasn't to be at that time as to much going on then..and i still carry the PMA with me, oh and the sock on the mirror i still use it now and again, wife thinks i'm nuts haha - Mr.Schumacher!!

Im on the test tomorrow morning i can't sleep or eat at all im so stressed im constantly think i will faill with those questions and driving 🤦🤦🤦C+E

I do 4 on 4 off and I had 2 reduced daily rest, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday I had a reduced weekly rest of 30 hours. Can I have on Saturday and Sunday reduced daily rest? The thing if I do I have 4 reduced daily rest in a week. But on the other hand I have weekly rest between. Thanks in advance.
