Mantra one of worst places to get your truck driving licence .
I personally think the class 2 lorry's they use on the test are to small, past my test on a Thursday, Monday morning 6 0clock got my work sheet my lory was 26 ton double axle on the rear 38 foot long absolutely no experience of this size lorry
Many thanks to Andrew Broadhurst for helping me to pass my class 2 HGV license in first attempt.
this is a mind field thanks for the video
I just passed my class 2 license in first attempt and I want say a big thank you to mantra instructors especially Andrew Broadhurst who made it possible.cheers
many thanks for the videos i hope this will help me when i get round to it
Another brilliant video that helped me pass first time!
Another video that saved ky bacon! I literally brain washed myself watching this. Thanks to these incredibly helpful videos, along with the spot-on guidance of Alan Du Rose and the amazing Sarah Roberts, I passed my test on the first try! I watched every single video, and they broke everything down so clearly, making the preparation process so much easier. These videos are a must-watch for anyone preparing for their test, especially if you’re not a fan of learning by reading. They’re a total game-changer! Thanks so much, Kevin, for putting together these super helpful videos. I can’t express how much they made a difference for me.
This video is very good! Clear and much easier to understand compared to some of the other videos ive seen. Kevins videos are a must-watch for anyone preparing for their test, especially if you’re not a fan of learning by reading. They’re a total game-changer!
This video truly saved the day for me, especially with the last two questions - they were an absolute lifesaver! I also met the guy in the video and he joked about giving me his autograph. I should’ve said, “Yeah, go on then!” Thanks so much, Kevin, for putting together these super helpful videos. I can’t express how much they made a difference for me. Ill probably keep coming back to them for reminders.
I personally think you should have to take your test in a minimum of a 26 ton lorry not a 12 or 15 ton as its to easy to drive one of these. Then get a job as a tipper driver or a 18 ton 30 foot lorry. Just my opinion
Thank you for investing your time to create such an amazing video. Hats off
Thank you for the valuable tips. Greatly appreciated.
I had a member of our office tell me i could work over 60 hours if i hadn't done much the week before 😂😢good god
Mate you will damage the legs of the trailer if keep doing your tugs without raising the suspension 🤷♂️
I want to apply for drivering .as a student
Jon suggested to watch videos ,and believe me, it does help in big time
Thank you for this videos ,it does really help 🙏
What about the suppression remote
Best video i have found on mod 4 . Thanks a lot for the upload

Thank you sir, what to do when the brack is overheat (smoking). I knew is not part of the topic, but please tell me the solution.
What if I drive 2 days in scope and am therefore under RTWTR then on day 3 I work in the Office which is OTHER WORK for EC561. What about working time?
That office time is not under the RTWTR 2005 as those regulations apply to people who drive / travel vehicle is scope of 561 on that day - aka “Mobile workers”. So you are correct that it counts as OW for 561 but in effect - and that is where it gets really dizzy - the office day falls under the Main Directive aka the 1998 WTD!! So you have 2 Working time accounts - the RTWTR and the WTD!! then we move on to opt outs…..!!!!
Am I right in thinking you no longer do reverse/ coupling on test?
Your right, however you still have to do that test but it is separate to the practical driving test
@@thelifeofahgvinstructor992so is it a pass/fail? As I got taught how to do it in my first go and he didn't say anything about not having to do it
@@thelifeofahgvinstructor992is this a pass/fail? As I learned how to do it and he didn't say anything about not having to do it.
If you doctors, lawyers, police, nurses a question about their field, they will all give the same answer ask 10 hgv drivers, and youll get a multitude of different answers.
Thanks for this video Kev, very helpful.
Nice meeting you today Kev. Thanks for this video, very useful.
Cheers pal
Kevin is actually sick at what he does, he has a set lesson plan each day based on mistakes made in the previous lesson. I passed my class 2 with Kevin today, first time, one minor fault (yes that is a brag), every lesson I was noticeably better than the last. Good luck to everyone with their HGV lessons, and please watch these videos and take notes, he knows what he's talking about, these videos are essential test preparation. Kevin said to me "The people who take this seriously, watch the videos and do the homework are the ones that pass" he is 100% spot on with this. Listen to Kevin, do what he says, and watch the videos. Finally, thank you to the other learner who blocked opposing traffic and let me through on Test Killer lane", I don't know who you are, but you are my new hero
Thanks mate and well done 👍🏼
If this guy did this infront of my instructor the old guy wouldn't stop moaning about improper procedures or some crap. It seemed fine to me but theres a few areas where I'm like well I can't do that at my training school cause they would've stopped me and argued I didn't leave a metre gap before coupling.. the 5th wheel wasn't inspected manually or from a person view but instead a guess was applied and he reversed in anyway [hes got experience so we know hes able to do that but students tend are unsure].. The coupling was done without issues and that's good.
This shows that a 15 min break was taken in a 10 hour period followed by two more 15 min breaks 4:37
I have a querie, im currently on my 45+ comp, i'll drive on sat, but not on sunday, then again on monday, itll be about a 27hr break from sat- sunday 00:00, then 9hrs from then to when i drive, is that 27hr break automatically logged as a reduced weekly rest? Because i need to take RWR later in the week to make it to a drop, and not 45hr. Is it if i take 2 rwr in a row, on 2 separate weeks have to also take a 45hr in the same weekas the 2nd one?
That was amazing learning and teaching 4 moving on right time well done mantra
i have got my test on moday but the reverse is always the issue for me. i have been told once the trailer is straight after the one right turn i should make a quarter turn to the left, but seeing here you are doing one turn to the left 12 o clock.. i will try it out and see how it goes today.
This is by far the clearest guide I've seen so far.
I have my medical on Tuesday then start my class 1, this vidoyhad helped a lot thank you. Wondering whybthey test this and not parking in a bay?
There was no question about height indicators and stuff was there
@@magnetking1396 we didn’t add a question about height as it’s not a question the dvsa will Ask on your practical 3b test. However rest assured that we do mention to our learners the importance of knowing your vehicle height.
🎉 well tell the planners ... who can't count
Hi there, is the vehicle you’re checking classed as a class 2 ? Thank you in advance.
Yes mate of course. It’s a 12t so it meets the requirements to gain your Cat C
@thelifeofahgvinstructor992 thanks for the reply, we've been driving these on a car licence, grandfather rights, for ages, our place of work said they've been reclassified as 7.5 tonnes ...
I am new driver on a rigid and already got an infringement I thought i was doing it right but later to be told by my manager that i have an infringement I don’t know wat comes next worried
what was reason
brother i,m also new and new joining from monday.i,m also scare about rule.can you guide me little bit

hi. I have to prepare for the C+E practical test in about 35 days. But my friends, I'm very worried about my reversing test. Please tell me how I can overcome my anxiety and prepare my mind for it
Could you please give me a good opportunity to work in your country
Just passed my 3a today and am finding these videos great refreshers as it completely bashed my brains in and I've forgotten half of it 🤣Throughout my learning and exam they had me lowering and raising the suspension on the unit to get under the trailer. Complete pain in the backside and confused me so much as it wasn't included in any of the learning material or BLACK. This little black remote control just came out of nowhere.
Just passed my 3a, reversing and un/re-coupling, after around four hours training this morning and came here to refresh everything. It's really interesting you guys put on a full right lock on. They had me coming back in a gentle arch after straightening up across the line after the first turn. I was still straightening up as my trailer was coming into the cone bay and found it dead awkward as I could see bugger all out of the near side mirror. Lining up with just one mirror was just no good. Definitely needed one shunt! This way looks like you have much more room to correct lining up as you're coming back. The truck was an absolute dog as well. MAN. Really difficult to tell if the thing was parked straight without the trailer on. Felt like I was driving a shoe that's two sizes too small!
What about the tyres on the trailer?
At the beginning of the test you would do an all-round vehicle check, including the trailer. Because the trailer has already been checked the examiner will be happy as long as you just mention doing a walk-around trailer check and asking them to check your lights during this exercise.
Which country training this
England.
Does the red trolley represent the lorry😂 I'm confused how it represents load distribution on the lorry. Confused when u say the top part represents the head board and body of vehicle
Hello, I am struggling with the reverse exercise, have failed my test today . I have been told to do a full right lock until seeing the black mark on the trailer and then a full left lock slowly moving backwards to straighten the cabin with a trailer ,but that seems to put the trailer at such sharp angle And basically puts the front right wheel right on the yellow line or almost over, so I am stressing between going over the yellow line without seeing anything and not understanding my positioning relatively to the cone I am suppose to go around by the time I see the cone I have very little room left to direct the trailer into the parking bay and give it the correct angle and no room for a mistake at all when it comes to steering … Seeing instructors do it with ease puts even more pressure 🤣 thanks for the video!
I passed yesterday and was taught 1 full right until you see the marker and full 2 left turns until it bends then straighten up and just caress it into the bay
I just passed today and had the exact same problem at first. The instructor explained I was reversing too fast and steering too slow, so I was using up way too much space to turn the wheels. Once you see that first mark slow the truck right down to a crawl and throw on those two left turns to straighten up. Really throw them hands around! From there it's dead easy. It's keeping that right wheel away from the line that's the hard part.
That's how I got taught to do mine . Full lock and wheel going on the line etc . Couldnt see buggarall at 1 point.. I didn't finish it. Got stressed with the instructor . Came home rebooked it..then looking at this way makes it look a lot easier .
@@westyy5387yup 1 full lock till the marker plate is inline with the yellow line. Then full lock it other way till straight. Just seems harder as your looking out the window making sure ya not going over that line.
