It was a lot of snow up that way for sure . When I had to drive to my Dads to get stuff when he was in the hospital it was a crazy day ! He is probably my very favorite author . I haven't been reading his books since I was about 10 . I have seen his house in pictures but never in person . Can you even imagine the cost to heat ? We could live large on that ! I cannot picture you living in town . Excellent comment Thank you 🌹❄️

Thanks for the advice . We actually have a meter to check the wood and do so . But our stove burns great now and draws perfectly once again . I guess it just got away from us this time . We will definitely be more vigilant in the future . Have a great day 👋⛄

@tonirad9577 in that case if your wood is dry then my second statement would be your case. When I first had a wood stove installed in my home it kept suffocating itself out couldn't get a draft to save my life. Found out that my home was so well installed that i have less than a .03 micron intrusion from outside air it's like living inside a refrigerator. So when my stove was burning it was actually starving for air unless we kept a window cracked open somewhere had our first chimney cleaning and discovered the chimney was Chuck full of creosote and they told us it's because the stove isn't burning properly because it's not getting proper airflow so it can't burn it off eventually it builds up so thick then eventually smoke would start back drawing into the house installing a fresh air vent to the outside solved all of that problem. My guess is you probably have something similar going on. Could be wrong but the only way to test it is to find a window somewhere and keep it cracked while your stove is running.

Yes I made it . I was headed to Dad's to grab his laptop for him and a few other things . He had almost 2 feet in his yard and about a foot in the road in his neighborhood . All good now !

@tonirad9577 yes they would be hard to heat, can you imagine building a house like that at today's prices for things

And the fact that a lot of them are probably built with huge virgin timber . Even the funeral home was amazing !

Lots of snow ⛄️ . My Dad is hanging in there . His arteries in his legs are bad . Hopefully this next , much more serious surgery will help a lot . One toe is going to have to be removed though as well . I think we have a lot ahead of us .

I have just used the logs until now . I bought the powder for the first time. The logs have gone up about 7 dollars . Yeah we were off our game this year . But it’s burning 🔥 like a champ now !
