I remember that I must see the Film twice, cause I must laugh so much, so I can't follow the plot.

My best memory of this film was when me and my friends were watching it in 1984 (or 85.) We were in our 12s (or 13s) My Grandfather thought we were watching some stupid shit… but he caught this scene and could not stop laughing. He ended up loving this movie… especially the schtick with the coconuts. 🥥 I love how this movie bridged that generation gap. ❤️

Trivia fact: if anyone has ever watched the "VeggieTales" collection of Bible based cartoons, one episode titled "Josh and the Big Wall" depicts the story of the Battle of Jericho; the writers patterned the initial contact between the Isrealites and defenders of Jericho exactly like this scene with the exception of the catapulted livestock. The defenders were French peas taunting the Isrealites in French accents😅

Not to get overly analytical about one of my favorite movies of all time, but I always wondered about the historical significance of the French throwing their livestock over the wall - am I wrong in thinking this was a big (yet subtle) part of the gag? The fact that the French were pretty stupid to throw their means of survival over the fence as weapons….. This scene makes me laugh in so many ways! 😂

He calls them English conniguts, which is knights phonetically.
