Mr. Scott Barker speaks to the River Oaks Historical Society, River Oaks, TX, on Thursday, October 24, 2013 about the original art that was gathered within days to decorate the suite where Mrs. & President Kennedy stayed while in Fort Worth, TX, the night before he was assassinated. The Dallas Museum of Art currently is showing the pieces in this exhibit, minus the Van Gogh.

Goin' Band plays El Toro Caliente

This is probably my favorite Goin' Band tune. Following the TTU v TSU game, the Goin' Band concertized for the Band Alumni. Kudos to Goin' Band Director Dwayne Hill and the Goin' Band members. Y'all sound great! September 21, 2013 www.orgs.ttu.edu/goinband/History.asp www.orgs.ttu.edu/goinband/Traditions.asp
Glad to one of the Tuba players in this!
The soloist were weakk
Well, they had rehearsed, marched 1 mile to the stadium, played and marched pre-game, played in the stands, played and marched half-time, then played in the stands the 2nd half of the game. They played their entire show after the game for the alumni and were about to march 1 mile back to the band hall. So, I think they did great and you're jealous. "If you can't say something nice..." please try not to say anything at all.
@@carrensey bruv my bad I'm not even jealous I don't even play trumpet it's just an observation on like a 5 year old video
@@jakgff5885 Thanks - but 5 years (actually 6) or 5 minutes ago is irrelevant. That was someone's life of training and work up to that point. Thanks for watching.
@@carrensey you're taking it to seriously my guy. Yeah they put in the work and were chopped out and good for them. I can chop out right before an audition but guess what, no one cares about the work I put in. Hate to be a dick but they were weak and that's that.
@@carrensey . . . . . I say he needs to keep his comments like that to himself. Unless he can post a video of him playing better. . . . wanna make a bet he can't do it ?
In 2007 & 2008
My son played first trumpet in Band 1.
Played this at Tech in 2008! BEST SHOW EVER!! Trombone Band 1. Mr. Anderson was the BEST BAND DIRECTOR! WRECK 'EM TECH!!
well i do love El Toro, let alone Caliente!!!!
Dude. They were the first college band to travel to away games. Will Rogers himself paid the expenses. Also the first band to play "Grandioso" in the stands at a football game. Tech Band was the first college marching band to have their sound recorded on the radio. Much history, tradition and legacy of excellence here.
where ever they want. :-D
Where they Goin?
