I thoroughly enjoyed this tour of your library! I am incrementally building my personal library with the intention of adding more depth to the literature (monographs, novels, etc.) that I already own. In high school, two of the fictional works we had to read for IB English were: Madame Bovary and Tartuffe. I didn't enjoy either one, with a slight hatred towards the former lol. However, I did really enjoy Candide. When you described The Man Who Laughs and the connection with The Joker, I got so excited! Maybe I will give French literature another chance after all 😂.

You probably wont see this but I currently have Letters from a Stoic by Seneca on my list of future books. Is it a worthwhile read? Stoic philosophy is new to me but for now I have begun with The Enchiridion by Epictetus as well as Meditations by Marcus Aurelius which also is favored by many. I took a Philosophy course in College so I do have a bit of background on the subject in general. Anyway thanks for providing me some inspiration for my future small library.

As you were talking about the found letters that made the epistolary novel is kind of like the found footage films that became popular with Blair witch. Les liaisons dangeruses - was made into a BRILLIANT movie in 1988 with Michelle Pfeiffer- John malkovich - Glenn close and more- must see!

"... being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." You really should read "Cloud Atlas" -- it's one of the most extraordinary novels I've ever read, and I believe you'd find it fascinating. It's really unlike anything else. (But don't see the movie, which utterly fails to capture the beauty of the book.)

Lucifer is Enki , Attar , Prometheus , Shamash , Abaddon / Apollyon , Apollo , Helios / Sol Invictus , Lugh , Belenus , Wotan / Odin , Hermes / Mercury , Thoth , Janus and Shiva among others masculine manifestations , some of the feminine ones are Artemis / Diana as the twin sister of Apollo , Hekate as the consort of Apollo , Rosmerta as the consort of Lugh Kali as the consort of Shiva or Ishtar / Astarte as the feminine side of Attar , the actual Satan would be Enlil , Baal , Saturn , Moloch , Yaldabaoth but both entities have held such title for millennia so there is a big confusion when we talk about Satan , it can be the Enlil / Baal / Moloch / Saturn or it can be Enki , Prometheus , Abaddon / Apollyon / Apollo / Lucifer etc ..Enlil is the Demiurge / Yaldabaoth .and can manifest himself in both ways positive and negative as Jeowah / Yaweh / Allah or Baal / Saturn / Moloch / but Christianism just mixed both entities in one and called it Lucifer , Satan and "The Devil" indistinctly

i don't know, in both the critias and the bible, they spoke of a god flooding the earth, because of the evils of man. also, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, sounds like a tree bearing awareness, which seems like it would be more power to the humans, even if it came at the cost of life. it is hard for me to say at this point. i will say that if Zeus and Poseidon are around 12,000 bp due to the story of atlantis, then this would be a point in time when humans were still stone age. also, this is a time when the persian gulf was fertile land. i can imagine it would have been a great place for a garden. this is only my assumption though.

If you cannot see that is inversion demonic, archontic, ahramanic? or just evil you must be possessed to whom or whatever aligns with that nasty low frequency. not directing this here or personally, obv. 🥰. Jesus or a name similar as j nor around then did nor die apparently just disappeared from the tomb so was still Alive and off and about. makes sense. Anarchy is Not Chaos geez pls. It Is the relinquishing of governments to self reliance and real True Sentient Commune Of Unities, -the righteous meanings, thx.

God demanding animal or human sacrifice as payment for the sins of man is absurd. It would be similar to me creating ants and then making myself an ant for the other ants to kill me so I don’t kill all of the ants. Of course, I would kill most of the ants anyway because they wouldn’t acknowledge that I was the ant-maker and didn’t love me unconditionally… on condition of eternal torment. (The little piss-ants.)

You can hardly take milton as an unbiased commentator on whether god's rule is by right. The mear datum that 1/3 of all the angels sided with satan suggests that god and satan had equally compelling cases. You will note that the US electorate is approximately 1/3 republican 1/3 democrat and 1/3 independant. In fact whenever there is a two party system, and the electorate has varying views on a large number of issues it is the largest third that gets the deciding vote because they can only change their positions enough to cover 1/3rd, of the range and must only get a slightly larger chuck of the indendants to win. I'm saying 1/3 sided with him and this implies that 1/3rd also decided not to take side.

Its pure paganism. God NEVER requested it. Deut 5:22, Jer 7:22-23. And Jesus never died for our sins. The passover isn't even a sin offering. Repentence is the only way to atonement for sins and has been from the 1st sin. Ezekiel 18 plus hundreds more.
