मेहमूद बेगड़ा खजाना इस किल्ले में रखता था | Chanda Suraj Mahal | Historical places in Ahmedabad
Chand Suraj no Mahel is an offbeat place on the bank of Vatrak River near Mahemdavad and built by King for his queens. The whole palace is of bricks and mortar. No where iron, cement or beams could be found. The thick walls have inlaid pipeline for water circulation or their own purpose. As per the locals believe the rulers had hidden gold and hence the public have demolished or taken apart most of the palace in search of gold.
Mehmud begada the king of Gujarat sultanate,he was very powerful,even the dehli king was frightened for his bravery.He looted so many places and collected treasure for his army & people.
In history this fort was famous for the lives of the queens as well as they kept treasure in the fort.
Still it is unfounded and locals have many stories about the fort.
