The whole L E P E R S album has been so enjoyable and encouraging for me, songs like THE MEANTIME and THE MENDING were like prayers and cries to God in my own struggles. Yet songs like HEIR and LAZARUS HEART are but more upbeat but they all fit together. The whole album is lovely. I feel like it's worship but not in the "churchy" sense, if that's make sense.😅 Like, I feel like im listening to Joshua pray to God and prasie and cast his cares upon God. Listening to each song is like an invitation to do the same, praise God or cry out to Him along with Joshua. I may just be reading too much into this but I know Joshua doesn't have a huge following but he's got precious music we few adore. I believe God has worked in these songs cause sometimes your lyrics were like the words I didn't know how to say or pray. Like, THROUGH has comforted my heart, yet led me cry out my emotions to God and know He is with me in every moment. With it all, this one is one I love to come back to, because I can have hope and rest in the fact God has shattered the sting of death and this reminds me of that scripture in 1 Corinthians‬ 15. The "oh death, where is your sting?" one. Anyways, this whole essay is just my lil apperication letter.

I'd like the opportunity to see Joshua on tour. He's become my favorite musician.

| SONG STORIES | While I want a song to always stand on its own, with no context, I love the listening experience being enriched by story. It so often makes others’ works all the more powerful for me. And so, I’m delighted to share little moments, fractals of what leads a song from a flash in the heart to what it ultimately becomes.
