Shea Stadium/Citi Field 360 degree panorama
I wish citified would put the neon players back on the stadium
Imagine what the arc of history would’ve been like if the Jets stayed at Shea to the very end…..
Shea was considered a marvel if moder stadium design when opened in 1964... but was little more than a steel and concrete multi-level subway station... cold and hard and dirty. What a difference... Citifield is like a hotel lobby... inviting... comfortable...handsome....clean.
I miss it because of memories, especially with my dad, but citi field is a major improvement and now I have memories with my kids there.
I took this walk so many times I've lost count. This video is like going back home. Long live Shea!
Let’s go Mets… I miss Shea
This is something to cheer about?
Happy Valentine’s Day
Frank the tank at 4:36 ? 4:36
A piece of Shea could of been turned into a hotel. That would of been so cool.
Wow childhood memories
Anymore footage of Shea? :)
Never got to go here 😢
Wish I saw a game at Shea
😢 let’s go Mets i wanted to go to shea and I saw in the parking lot the shea home plate
I look at the concourse and see how small it is , thank god citified was built
Agreed. Loved Shea and lots of amazin memories there but Citi Field is a terrific ballpark, a modern gem, and was a necessity.
@@Rangerstown00yeah shea and other multipurpose stadiums were built to watch the game. Not for it to be a shopping gallery mall
@westhoodqualzini7884 They weren't built to watch baseball. Designs stunk. I remember shea fondly but i now love citi field .....15 years later I haven't grown tired of it.
I'm so glad this exists. Too often things like stadium concourses, train stations, old storefronts, the inside of an old school - these are seen as mundane and are lost to time. Thank you for documenting this. It helps us remember the way things were.
i miss it ... miss it a lot
The clash played there 😵
Why got demolished?😳
Damn shame that the area is never gonna be same again But we all got keep going forward and it’s all about money!
This is great. We’d love to maybe use this shot in our upcoming documentary on the 1986 Mets for ESPN. If interested contact me at Nickdavisprods at gmail. Dot com. Thanks!
This is awesome. We would love to use this shot in our upcoming documentary about the 1986 Mets. Film airs sept 14/15 on ESPN and we are hurrying to finish. If interested Please contact me at NickDavisProds at gmail. Dot com.
🤮🤮🤮
Thanks for documenting this.
I know it would have been a lot of money: but I sometimes wonder what would've happened if some of these stadiums underwent MASSIVE renovations. I think of places like Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, Giants Stadium, and even an old one like Tiger Stadium, which actually had proposals
Fenway Wrigley and Dodger Stadium remain even with renovations done too
Eh, Shea was a broken design from the beginning. It was designed with football in mind so seats were very far from the action.
@d4c_reznor470 Exactly. The way the stands bowed out in the infield and no stands in fair territory to catch home runs are just bad ideas. I have many fond memories on the mezzanine with my dad, but now I have memories at citi field with my kids.
Sigh....Doesn't look like much, but to us who were there, this is sad as hell to watch.
Miss it
Me parte el corazon, me lo parte !!
I feel love was the best level. The only bad thing about the loge and mezzanine sections was after a certain row you couldn’t see fly balls and scoreboard. I was fortunate to sit field level section 9 row E ( behind plate) and 107AA first row on first base line. I miss Shea.
My God! This took me back! Always had a great time at SHEA!
I thought u meant the temperature!
Brings back memories of our old Saturday plan seats in Loge 17, row C. Thanks!
This Is Not 360
You didn't do too well in math did you? 🤣
Dislike This Is Traah
Press F to pay respects
Clorox Bleach fuckoff
Paul would miss this place
i made it in the vid!
Collapsed just like the 87 Mets.
And almost as fast..😂
Built it again you idiots! Can't believe it. Oh well, Shea stadium and The Beatles will live forever, even if you ignorant people don't respect them
it took a few days to demolish shea and it was a surreal sight.
Look how claustrophobic that concourse is compared to Citi Field!
Sad to see her go ! (.)(.)
it become a lot to park car
they could've used the area where citi field is for parking;and kept the oldest national league stadium (shea)
Actually Dodger Stadium was two years older than Shea Stadium. And Wrigley Field was nearly 50 years older than both of them. Where Citi Field is now used to be part of the Shea Stadium parking lot. Now it’s reversed - what used to be Shea is now part of the Citi Field lot.
the beatles played here
Bye and thanks to yet another history trace from The Beatles.

sutpid banksters and big business! shea was still good!
Shea was a dump. Filthy and bad sightlines. The Stadium was past its prime in the 80s
@@stevep8445 boi I was named after this place
it was a good stadium but the Mets Organization wanted to move out of there since the Mid 90's
Yep
MaryStewart shea was a garbage stadium
why the fuck are those assholes cheering this...
Brandon Deel as great as shea was it was home to more devastating loses than amazin wins but citi field is still the same sadly. I guess met fans wanted a fresh start
