LG G6 Review Mid September 2017 (Why I Love it!!!)
My mom used this phone upto 2021
Oh wow that's quite a long time!!
@@miggythetechguy well that phone is still there with me. But even turning on wifi just heats up the phone and I couldn't even hold it longer than 15 minutes. Impressive performance though
0:56 What does it mean on the X2 when it indicates Type-C?
It means it has USB-C. They also have an apple lightning port model.
Can you share steps for upgrading to 11
wiki.lineageos.org/devices/oneplus3/install/variant2/
I just followed the steps on their website.
Brother i have question. Im a iPhone user but i wanted to switch to android. I bought a samsung tan but i noticed that video and audio on for example yotube are Not Sync 100% do you have any issues like this with the one plus?
No I have not had any issues with audio and video syncing on the OnePlus!
@@miggythetechguy i dont know if u have an iPhone but if yes it would be very kind if you could compare it with eachother
A rather a S21 ultra over any gaming phone, because it has better cameras, more software support, a better screen and more benefits than any gaming phone, am a hardcore gamer myself
It definitely still holds it's own even almost into 2025!
@@miggythetechguy yep that true my friend 👊💯
US ppl have the best prices. Good on ya
I've most definitely noticed this, it's unfortunate that it's not the same everywhere 😭
I'm a current Samsung owner, and I'm switching when the OnePlus 13 comes out.
I'm really excited to see what it brings to the table. If the 12 is any indication, it's gonna be NICE.
I finally pulled the trigger on this and am absolutely in love with it. Used the OnePlus 5, 6, and 8T but then skipped the ones after coz I feel like they had lost the "flagship killer", title but the OnePlus 12 pulled me back in. It's obviously still not as good as the high end premium competition but it's basically such good value at this price point that it's almost a no brainer if you're looking for something that competes with the flagships but isn't priced as a flagship 👊🏿💥
100% best bang for your buck in tech right now imo!
❤this device.. I'm using Oneplus 12 with 24gb of Ram and 1 tb of memory.... Never get like this before with it price 😢 And of course,, Charger in the box and 100 watt 😂
It's such an amazing phone!! Glad you're enjoying yours as well!
Another person who didn't mention the thermal throttling issues on this device. 😕
I never had such issues while using this phone, so yeah I didn't mention it. If that had occurred I definitely would have put it in.
@@miggythetechguy then it means you werent testing games on the phone. But that should also be a part of a phone test
@@makunouchiippo816 um I assume you didn't watch the whole video. I have a section where I talk about gaming. I most definitely did game on it. I didn't see any major frame drops in fortnite, call of duty mobile or genshin impact. Do you own the OP 12?
@@miggythetechguy I don't own the One Plus 12 but my brother does. Genshin Impact works on the One Plus because they even made a collab phone so they optimized it for that. But everything else has constant FPS drops even games like Brawl Stars or Zenless Zone Zero. Wuthering Waves as well. Every game that makes the phone heat up is affected. Changing the settings to champion mode or other stuff changes nothing (for him). I don't know if the problem is maybe the Snapdragon chipset and that it's not optimized well enough for android because Samsung has the same issue with their flagship phones but who knows...
watching with 7t... and it's the best phone
Ayee it's really awesome seeing so many people still using it haha
Which gcam version do you use
The BSG Cam. Just type that into Google. It'll come up.
I'm with you, I really wish they would bring back the camera island
Right?! I feel it gives it more character. It's been too bland 😭
I have OnePlus 12, best best quality, best color picture, best display, best chip , best waperchaper for hot chipcet , aquatuch , very good battery.... Best price , i love this mobile
I 100% agree! I'm loving my experience with this phone so much.
So I have the OnePlus 12 and I agree that it's an awesome device. But I also have the OPPO Find X7U and it's a step or 2 above. Honestly the only thing really holding it back is the fact that it's a China exclusive device. And even that isn't as much of a problem as you might expect. Honestly having both my biggest take away is that I hope OnePlus releases the OnePlus 13 with a version that has a synthetic leather back. I can't overstate how much better tye leather feels than glass
I have seriously wanted to try out the Oppo Find X7U, just don't have the funds to grab one 😭 I can only imagine it feels like an OP 12 on steroids haha either way I'm excited for what they have in store for the future!
How to check battery life?
Do you mean check battery health?
I'm not sure why the 12 would feel plasticky? The front is constructed from gorilla Glass victus 2 and the back panel is gorilla Glass 5. Once more, the frame is aluminum. Indeed, the OnePlus 7 series was nice. Although, it relied on gimmicks such as a pop-up camera to sell it. On the positive side of the ledger, it was the first phone to debut with a 90 HZ refresh rate. With the exception of the 10T, the nine and 10 series were solid devices. Unfortunately, their prices weren't congruent with what they were offering. I'd also like to state that there was nothing high tier mid-range about the 11. It was a legitimate flagship. The only thing it lacked was wireless charging. Considering the 11 is equipped with 80 watt fast charging, who cares about wireless charging? Personally, I've always felt that wireless charging is one of the dumbest inventions that I've ever seen. Literally, people will refuse to purchase a device that doesn't offer it. Wireless charging is slow, inefficient and I could care less.
Just by the way it feels when you rub the back of the 12, it kinda feels a bit like plastic imo. Other than that it's amazingly built and still my favorite phone of the year. I've owned pretty much every main OnePlus device aside from the 6 series. They're my favorite phones to daily drive in general. You're right about wireless charging I NEVER use it lol
My old 7T was my phone for first testing out custom Android ROMs. I didn't want to risk bricking my 8T daily driver at the time. I remember Flamingo OS being my favorite and most stable. It also made the fingerprint scanner FAR more usable than the stock ROM. Though like with every custom ROM I tried, battery life was always notably worse, especially in standby.
I really wish we could go back to the golden days of custom ROMs. It's sad it's basically nearly extinct at this point. So many good memories 🥲
8T was a downgrade from the 7T screen and picture quality were the biggest reasons.
@@diogor8968 The 8T screen was brighter and 120hz. Same size and resolution. Not sure how that's a downgrade. Picture quality I saw basically saw no difference between them.
@@Angel-HC just check any comparison video, many people bring out the picture issue
Nowadays 1+ have so many serious issues. Like green line issue and motherboard dead issue after updates...
With the OnePlus 12 specifically?
Only in indian variants, not in 11 and 12 series.
One plus display now uses BOE instead of Samsung
Had my OP12 for about a year and never had any of those issues.
HONOR Magic 6 pro o Oneplus 12?
I have yet to use the Honor device. I'm here in the US and just don't have the funds available to pick it up. I can say I am really loving my OnePlus 12 and it's totally worth it's price!
Hi Miggy, i have a OP 12 and really appreciate your content. How did you get those clean moon pics? Kind of reminds me of those fake Sammy ultra moon pics.
Just using the 120x zoom function and tapping to focus on the moon! Similar to how Samsung's works lol thanks I'm glad you enjoy the content.
@@miggythetechguy Oh, that easy? I thought you were going to provide a specific combination of the "pro" settings. Really appreciate your prompt response.
Yeah super simple! Haha no problem 😊
Another positive: basically the only Snapdragon 8 gen 3 phone that you can root
I wish rooting and custom ROMs were back in their prime again 😭 I miss those days.
I am only using the 7t, been five years. Really responsive to use. Only issue is that it doesn't support 5g. Had to replace the battery after 4yrs though. Still works great.
I didn't really notice a huge jump from 4G to 5G tbh, but that can vary from location to location 😅 either way that's awesome it's still going strong!
Very Good Informative Video!!!! Thank You!!!
You're welcome 😁 thanks for watching ☺️
I totally agree, the oneplus 12 is the phone of 2024, I had the pixel 8 pro, watched lots of reviews on the op12 and decided to give it a go, I bought one used on ebay, well I say used, it was in immaculate as new condition, battery capacity is 100%, practically brand new,I got it for £560 with an unused official op12 case, I am absolutely loving the op12, it's so fast and smooth, battery is great,I get easily 1.5 /2 days, fast charging is awesome, camera isn't as good in some areas vs the pixel, but it more than holds its own in the camera department, alot of people seem to be hating on the oxygen /color os, I don't mind it to be honest,I like the customisation, pixel is practically non existent in the customization, you can't even get rid of the Google search bar on the home screen for gods sake! Simple things I like to,like the double tap to sleep,I use the op12 alot more than I used the pixel 8 pro, mainly because it's just a much better expierence using the op12. So you can kind of guess,I absolutely love the op12 😂😂😂😂
Glad to see someone who enjoys it like I do!!! 😄
Awesome video, I love how you show the phones functions in real world situations!
Haha thank you!!! I try to give a more "real" review so people can see a phone for what it actually does and how it truly holds up 😁
Okay in your opinion should I get the OnePlus 12 around Christmas time or should I wait for the OnePlus 13. As of right now I have a pixel 6 and I'm starting to feel that itch to upgrade lol
I guess that would depend on how much you want to spend. You'll definitely pay less for the 12. So if you wanna save a buck and still get an amazing phone I say go with the 12!
If you can get a killer deal I’d get the 1+12, but man the 1+13 is looking freaking awesome. Also I think 1+ will offer better software support with the 1+13 if that matters to you?
If you can, wait for the OP 13. While the OnePlus 12 is a great phone, getting it now, you'll have one less year of support.
1+ 13 will be better
No pop up camera don't care 😂
😭😭😭 they need to bring it back
Haterrrr 🤣
I was being so stubborn when I first switch from galaxy S21 ultra to the OnePlus 11, didnt take long before I had a change of heart and started loving the Oneplus 11. The BIGGEST factor that won me over was the chargimg speed. You know how badly I need the fast charging 🤣
Lmao it's truly a lifesaver in regards to charging 😅😂 glad you came over to the dark side 😈
Me too.
Another fun fact: The OnePlus 12 has an IR blaster which is extremely useful with TV's and other devices. Although I didn't showcase it in the video, I use it quite often on my TV's throughout my house!
Yes very handy when we lose the remote lol 😉
🤣🤣😭 indeed 💀
OnePlus 12 is Phone if the year hands down 😊
Upgraded from iphone 14 plus to OnePlus 12R and its a complete night and day difference, OnePlus is far better then iPhone
1000% agreed!! They really know how to make a good phone 😎
I'll subscribe if you'll not use that awful filter ever again. Deal?
Lmao okay 😂😂😂
Using the OnePlus 7T to type this .
Still going strong 🫡
I'm here in september 2024 with my 5 yeah old Oneplus 7 Pro 256gb, checking youtube for if im gonna change the battery on this or buy a Oneplus 11 or 12.. I really have loved my Oneplus 7 pro.. Many daily hours use, and it have never failed.. Im sure now i'll get it fixed and keep it, maybe to my kid.., still not sure if its worth it buy a new one, this still works perfectly.. Its amazing.. Oneplus forever!!
I am actually currently daily driving the OnePlus 12 now. I absolutely love it, although I do still miss my 7T Pro McLaren 🥲 I have it as a back up device now. The new device is definitely worth its price if you're looking to upgrade. I'll have a video out about the OnePlus 12 soon ☺️
I just got my OP2 in the mail today and am about to throw Lineage on it. I am curious, how were the thermals of the Snapdragon 810 on Android 13? With all the talk about how it was such a terrible chip, it's running everything just fine on the last official version OnePlus provided. Even while downloading and updating apps I didn't have any problems with heat.
Yeah I haven't seen any major hiccups or issues using A13. It's definitely better with it than on Oxygen OS in my opinion!
Watching from oneplus 7t
That's great! Hopefully still going strong 💪
I'm watching this video on my OnePlus 7t device ... Still rocking as a secondary device for the last 5 years 😅 Still Amazing working condition Love this device still now ❤️😂
It really is a great phone. I love using it from time to time and usually use it as a security cam in the house!
Still using its brother realme x2 pro for 4 years with pixel rom based on android 13(i used op 7t software port as well on my device),can play 90 fps on pubg/bgmi same hardware slight difference for me being vapour chamber cooling system,4000 Mah battery, audio jack and 50 Watt charger,2018-2019 was the golden era of smartphones k20 pro, poco f1,Op 6-7 series
100% agree it's the golden era of smartphones!
I agree, the OnePlus 7t is an awesome phone, and I can't tell you enough how much I really love my OnePlus 12, it's the best recommendation in 2024 👍💪
Currently rocking the OnePlus 12. It's such an amazing device for real. Glad you are a fellow OnePlus fan!
It's so crazy a 32 bit phone can run modern software ten years later. I really wanted this phone back in the day but couldn't get an invite. Ended up getting the LG G3
I never daily drove the 3T, but I did daily the OnePlus 2. I wish I would have been able to grab it back then. I find it so cool that it's able to be brought to more modern times as well 😅 super cool tbh.
Those black 3T's are rare, but looks better than the gunmetal IMO. Also, I just discovered your channel and am already a big fan. As a smartphone collector myself, I dig modern takes on older hardware
Yeah I new I had to grab the matte black one when I saw it on eBay haha I'm glad you're enjoying the content! Thank you 😊
I just bought one of these for the collection. Might have to update it to Android 13 after seeing this
I say go for it! It breathes new life into it for sure 😁
Mine died today itself. Been daily driving that beast for the past 4.5 years. Any recommendation which is the best phone to replace it?
That depends on how much you want to spend!
Sorry to hear about it dying on you!
I'm always amazed by your videos! The B roll and photos are my favorite. We definitely gotta get a cool lamp for your set up 😁
Thank you Hun 😘 I'm glad you like the videos! It would be awesome to get a lamp 😅
Nice content bro, i am seriously glad to see these types of videos you're awesome 💯 I appreciate it ❤️
I appreciate that for real, I just don't see any coverage on these devices and I wanted to shed light on them. Thanks for the kind words, helps me keep pushing 🙏🥲
Nice video!
Thank you!! 😊
I love my S23 ultra 8 gig of ram 256
It's definitely a SOLID phone 😎
sup Miggy... 7t user here, love the phone but the battery life is gettting to me... should i gamble on changing the battery or go in for a new phone?? p.s. i pay monthly for 5g plans which i havr never used(🤑)... Cheers
I suppose that depends on what you're willing to spend for a new phone. If you can't really afford anything in the flagship realm of pricing, just get the new battery. Haha
Are banking apps working for you after installing a custom rom and if not, has anyone tried any workaround to make them work? I've been out of the custom rom game for years and I've heard they've really cracked down on such users. I have spare 8T laying around and thought I should install a custom rom (non-rooted) on it to get some of the smoothness back.
Everything seems to be working with my OnePlus 7T. I believe there's guides on how to use work arounds depending on the ROM and device.
