    You said something along the lines of..."Of all the influences one should allow, that of Our lord and savior Jesus Christ should be the only one we allow." (I was totally paraphrasing). While studying, I came across Moroni 10:32 earlier today and it said something about "Denying oneself of all ungodliness" and I felt that is so instructional in helping the 21st century believers in staying firmly rooted on the covenant path. Thanks for sharing Mathew, I hope you have travelled farther up the covenant path than you travelled away from...

    If you're think sbout it, people who are ohnirant of the LDS gospel sre better off without it. Once they learn it, then they would in theory be subject to more severe judgement. The greatest gift you could give others is to NOT teach them the LDS gospel 😂😂😂😂 #loophole

    A big part of why most people leave is discovering the TRUE history of the LDS church that is different from what they teach us. Joseph Smith was a verufied muliple offender con artist, and polygamist who married over 30 women (and young girls) sone of whom were mother&daughter, sister& sister, AND ALREADY MARRIED to "friends" he sent away on missions. Facts. Look it up. Tthe church does crazy mental gymnastics and misinformation to cover up their constant changes, huge mistakes by "prophets," and uncomfortable truths of LDS history.

Im not happy with many things people and leaders do in the church, but i continue to focus on my own journey and just try to help where i can. I trust the holy ghost more than prophets (which i still respect where it due), which i know is ok. Commandments of god are good, the most important two is to love God and our fellow beings. I would love to hear more from you. I love church, but i follow God more than church.

    You have clearly been indoctrinated in Mormon false doctrine....the Scriptures (the Holy Bible) clearly lay out that there is only One God (one Being) and 3 distinct Persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). This is known as the Trinity. I pray that you would find the Truth. I'm curious that you hold this view, especially when you left the Mormon church. The Father and Holy Spirit do NOT have physical forms. Jesus DOES have physical form...He came as baby...Incarnation.. Jesus IS God....the One and Only God. The Godhead is made up of the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit...same One God & 3 different purposes.

    I left because I was SA’d, found out the church lied about everything, and unintentionally found pagan friends who practice all the same stuff as they do in the Mormon church. Now I am Christian.

    • @Matthew.Campbell
      @Matthew.Campbell หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sorry for your experience. I know that must have been hard. It’s difficult for me to rationalize the idea that “the church” lied about anything. Simply because we can’t quantify what anyone means by “the church” are you referring to your local leaders? Or rather the prophet? The pagan belief system is nothing like The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Saying that we practice all the same things is misleading to others. I am so glad you continue to choose to have Jesus in your life! A lot of people simply abandon everything all together. That’s what I did when I left. May I ask what denomination you’re a part of now?

    • @kittiemarie1235
      @kittiemarie1235 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Matthew.Campbell I am non denominational. The church was the one at fault through their broken system. Wish that weren’t the case but it is. And unfortunately the pagan beliefs that began the church still exist within it today and are practiced in every outlet. That is just a fact; not intended to be hurtful just simple fact. The system of the church places abusers as having more important priority of protections over those who are abused. Their lawyer system (bishops hotline,) is setup that way and there is plenty of documentation to back up those claims. I am glad you still believe in God. I caution you to read the Bible as a closed canon.

    • @Matthew.Campbell
      @Matthew.Campbell หลายเดือนก่อน

      The church “system” may not be perfect as it is dealing directly with imperfect people, but it’s not broken. If my car doesn’t start because I don’t turn the key all the way is it broken? No, my brother took the key and started the car just fine. We need to identify where we are when we stop searching for truth. Are we comfortable? I pray I am never comfortable with myself again until I am perfected through Christ. There is no denying the divine that exists within the church. Especially found in The Book of Mormon. Paganism within the church is not a fact, I know as I’ve been on both sides- that things I have viewed as facts change as I grow and learn more. It is through the lens in which you choose to view things. I believe it is very easy to see the negative in what an institution or individual does if that is all you are willing to see. The fact of the matter is the church helps people, it changes people. The helpline may not be perfect but to view the different sources and perspectives told by the collective and come to the conclusion that the church’s main interest is that of protecting itself and not caring for those who are harmed is disturbing. If all I had to rely on to testify of Jesus Christ was the Bible I would not be Christian. The idea of Sola scriptura has no basis and only attempts to limit God to the Bible.

    • @kittiemarie1235
      @kittiemarie1235 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Matthew.Campbell the helpline is directly established to protect the church with no regard for its victims. No matter how you try to explain that away it is intentionally designed this way. And I don’t think you’re being authentic to say you’ve been on both sides. I have pagan friends, who were raised that way. They practice this and have their entire lives. Carry on what you believe, just don’t pretend that the church doesn’t do these things or isn’t of these things when it has and always will be. Objective facts don’t have to be offensive or wrong. They’re objective. In your own statement you imply that it is the fault of the person viewing that makes them wrong when it comes to any church doctrine. And the Book of Mormon is, by all accounts, a purely made-up fantasy book. In no way does it hold any historical or factual value and anyone but church officials or Mormon historians will tell you that. Soma scriptura has a basis. You just won’t try to read the Bible as a closed canon because it would betray what you believe to be loyalty to the church.

    Fun fact: Zelda in Ocarina of time might have just destroyed an entire timeline let me explain: so as we all know in Ocarina of time there is the Hero of Time who is meant to save Hyrule aided by the six sages and an Ocarina that can do a multitude of things so in the end after defeating Ganon Zelda sends him back to when he was a kid (he had to travel 7 years into the future to defeat Ganon) mind you she sent him to a different timeline not back in time so that means that when Ganon rose again there was no hero to save Hyrule thus leading into the windwaker because since there was no hero to save Hyrule the land was flooded in order to stop Ganon and the old kingdom of Hyrule was washed away and then a new one was born and THEN the hero was born and just a little extra info: this leads into breath of the wild Tears of the kingdom where the depths are the old kingdom of Hyrule and a bunch of other complicated stuff

    No, it's not either-or like 2+2=4. If you believe that your church is the right Christian church and the other Christian churches are wrong, then you're acknowledging that it's possible to know Jesus exists as the son of God but not be worshipping Him in the right way; which means you must admit that the possibility exists that 1) Jesus exists but 2) Your church is one of the wrong ones. To use your math analogy: if 4 is the son of God and 2+2 is the church, then there is also 1+3, or 0+4, etc. Yours might be the right equation - or it might be one of the wrong ones.

    • @Matthew.Campbell
      @Matthew.Campbell 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes that is a possibility, but through seeking and desiring the truth we can discern the path that God would have us go down, as we earnestly pray and study. I recommend watching the full video as we go into this :)
