trying a way of visualizing stereo audio a bit snazzier also 96khz this time, just to see how that goes, this capture is indeed a bit different from the other :3c
[2023] World Hopper

Recorded from a real Famicom by forple. Cartridge: Erika to Satoru no Yume Bouken [N163] small chance we'll write an extended version of this, not happy with the length

nice sound design :3
the stereo misaligned phase bass sounds oddly nice with headphones
Remastered ?
Oh yeah! 180HZ!
Do dragons go beep?
currently in a laughing fit after reading the mastodon link in your about page (oh also the music is cool)
amazing chiptune im always suprised at the capabilities of the n163
Dang was this a furnace tracker tune? What chip did you use? I'm just new to it myself! This sounds dope as hell though EDIT: one of the other comments says it's N163 so I'll have to check that out later... reading the documentation it looks more complicated than the wavetable stuff on the Gameboy chip which is what I'm more used to. I don't really get the waveform load pos vs waveform pos stuff. Hopefully that isn't super necessary to understand in order to work with the chip lol
@@wangledteb5671 this was made using famitracker! :D
what chip combination is this? i'm really curious to know what is going on on the top-right oscilloscope's channel. very good music btw!
Looks like 2A03 + (3)N163
Dami would love this
True pulse mastery
god I love this song
Why just 50 likes!?
because publicity is not a measure of quality
Где я могу этот трек скачать в свой плейлист? Он офигенный!
<[][]\_!
WOW ITS LOOPABLE TOO!
Very interesting stuff.
What is it with youtube recommending me the most random absolute hidden bangers of chiptune songs lately?? I swear, all i’m getting are less known masterpieces
You are not alone, the youtube recommendation algorithm literally inspired me to start making chiptune music, maybe it shouldn't control my life like that, but I'm not stopping now.
this sounds like a js&b song i love it
GROOOOOOVEEE:D
sounds like its from the credits at the end of an indie horror game, nice
Круто, но для меня было бы лучше, если канал DPCM звучал тише.
Wow, I can't believe this is using stock hardware! Amazing work!!
hehegeeghehehehe i love it
I wonder if I got this cause I clicked that Hank Howell × Bun animation, TH-cam connected that with my interest for tracker music, calculated 'yiff life' from your link into that - and now I'm here, sub 1k. Excellent.
I'm always down to seeing the NES PCM channel being used.

This is amazing!
The yourtube algorithm sent me here. This is legendary.
phoon the 8bit speed demon
Haha NES go beep
I love the 2A03
what’s that?
@@thethumbisafinger the soundchip inside the NES that makes the music possible!
@@tytanium654 thanks!
@@thethumbisafinger no problem!
goes hard, this seems like it would be fun to play in a rhythm game
love it :)

Adding onto my previous comment from 9 months ago. I've been doing some exploration on the S-SMP (super nes chip) and the more I looked at the BRR format, the more it started to sink in. The reason the SPC700 exists can be demonstrated using the N163 as a example: this is basically a software driven S-SMP with none of the bells and whistles. If the 6502 handled everything with that complex of a chip the data transfer would bog down literally everything. The two chips are *very* similar. In fact, I realized that using my existing N163 experiments, I could easily convert them to the BRR format and none of the quality would be lost. The fundamentals between the two are *very* similar, and I think the N163 sample tool can be repurposed to create BRR samples just without the filter bits. Of course, actual tools already exist (and have existed since 1989, that's why Kankichi-kun is a thing), so this is just another bit of low level information that in practice probably won't be useful but *might* be in regards to SDK-less programming.
World's longest (and most harmonious) dialup modem handshake I've got mail...but at what cost?
this kinda reminds me of portal a little :3
Really cool to see/hear the sonic expectations for chiptune being pushed here!
whoh-
