288: The Corpse Bride
Karl Tanzler was frequently visited by the spirit of an ancestor that told him his soul mate would be a dark haired, exotic beauty. What the ancestor must have left out was that Karl would not meet this woman until later in life when he was working as a radiology technician and she was dying from TB. This is a disturbing story of the lengths one man goes to keep his supposed soulmate with him for the rest of his physical life.

259: The Unsolved Murder of Janice Weston
I don't kinkshame.....I'm kink asking why
Okay well now I gotta go find his original crime episode
Thank you for telling Ladonnas' story. I'm always looking for updates on the case. I'm familiar with Ryan's case as well and ran to find updates, but from what I can find, his case is still unsolved. I hope that with all my heart, they get justice, and their families find peace.
My wife and I are from Huntington we just drove by the Anson house on the way to an appointment and started talking about this. So we are listening to you guys right now on this story. Have you guys thought about doing a live podcast so we can see you? I think it would help your channel a bit more
it's hard to take this heart-shattering story seriously when it's told in a vibe of 2 women gossiping in a Starbucks. and the amount of times megan felt like she had to say "bad boy" is very weird.
@@thetreasuregarden.creates that’s ok, we aren’t for everyone. We actually had Dave on the show and he enjoyed our coverage. There are always more dateline type podcasts out there for your listening pleasure. Hope you have a great day!
Omgoodness! Why have I not seen your podcast! Ladies are doing phenomenal! ❤
Layby is like an rest stop area.
In another video, the narrator mentioned they were drug users.
I really enjoy vintage crime cases, and just saw another video about this case, but not as detailed .
this is not the same guy who is supreme court justice now btw you got that wrong different kavanaugh
rockwell lane off 32 is not super wooded highway yes there is woods there is a highway 32 but that part of it is kind of a neighborhood with some woods i had a friend that lived there years ago i think on rockwell terrace they are by each other weird place for him to pick to put her story is so sad so far. like i said before just trying to help paint the picture fill in some extra information
wow Kavanaugh prosecuted this one good for him he was my lawyer on a couple cases one pretty serious one years ago before I changed my life never had any violent charges or any bad ones in most peoples opinions at least he was a very good guy to be honest i voted for him when he ran for office recently but he didnt win everything here is rigged. the DA in my one case had literally said he was going to give me 5 years probation cuz he knew i wasnt going to make it and i would have to do 9 years if one violation and Kavanaugh told me after dont listen to him he is a jerk you got this your not a bad person you can make it through this and do better. him telling me that actually helped me more than he knew and was inspiring to me as a young man at the time. God Bless Kavanaugh
Clinton ave at that time would have been a bad area
also would be likely at the time being a city of 24k people everyone pretty much knows everyone or someone who knows them etc
Main street was a good area in that time for sure also
family of woodstock was a or is a NGO for helping folks with housing etc
i was born 82 and lived in same city when this happened and kids heard about this story into the 90s for sure very sad and no its a suburb NYC people call us "upstate NY" even tho we were 90 miles away north the thruway etc
i grew up where this happened super sad story may God Bless that girls soul
Its Co-nin... the movie came out in 1982. He was horrrrrrrribly abused. He was on meth at like 12. Mom was a crackhead. We were in juvenile services together. I find it DISGUSTING that you brought a smug ass DA that can be snarky about what he did but does NOTHING for the system that they created to make him. How many times has Oregon been sued for not giving 2 fux in the system. He was a really nice guy when we were younger. Timid actually. He watched out for me.
@@heathershields8233 hi, I’m a bit confused by your comment that we “brought” a smug add DA? Did you mean we should have spoken more about the DA’s shadiness? Unfortunately not all info is available for research but one thing is for sure, many people who commit crimes in adulthood often have traumatic childhoods. Thanks for sharing your experiences with him and I’m glad he looked out for you. Take care.
@crimecuriouspodcast1015 I would like you to address the system that created him. Idk what's funny. But the dhs system that has been sued over and over. I come from the same place at the same time as Conan. The Lane County dhs system. My mom use to sleep with Dave Coons from Lane County DHS to get us back. When I was raped, dhs locked me up for 4 yrs while the DA refused to prosecute my mother. Not bcuz I was a criminal. But bcus I went thru so much as a kid, I was too crazy to place in a home. The smug add da. They facilitate these abused kids being left in abusive homes while the cute kids go up for adoption. They literally groom the kids for prison in their "treatment centers. Did you know the same time this was going on,kids were being raped in the state facilities? Specifically Mallard Cottage at the Farm Home. The staff would throw hands with the guys in Skipworth. As for what us going on now. They commuted him off death row and moved him to a more civilized prison.
