Great to see dudes hunting where I do. Cool stuff!👍
Nice buck congrats good job
Thank you!
How are you carrying your rifles slung under the arm?
Thanks for watching! It’s called the Kifaru Universal Gun Bearer. Works on most backpacks. Huge difference and more comfortable than the traditional rifle sling
Great video guys! Search Trey Larson on TH-cam to watch our video as well!
Thanks for sharing! I'm hoping to draw WY this yr or next.
Thanks! Good luck on your draws!
i need to no what caliber
.270 weatherby vanguard, shooting federal premium nosler partition 150 gr
The kids made the video....their excitement when they heard dad got a buck was contagious...brought back memories of me and my sons....you could tell the kids Knew what venison taste like!! Good job guys!!
I agree! Sure made a dad proud to bring home a buck, dinner and a story to share. We plan to pass this tradition onto the next generation
Man. That gets me pumped up for this season (2022)! Gotta get up in 5 hours and get my drive on, but man! Good dang buck! That's a great feeling, and I can't wait for mine this year!
I assume this is in Free Washington?
Thanks for watching! It is on public land in WA yes
@@heritagetradition1134 As opposed to idiot-occupied western Washington.
Very cool! I have that same rifle and sling set up! I love how light the rifle is! I usually hit up loop or near McKay. I usually will find plenty of doe just no bucks, I'm looking for a new spot because the spots I've been going to seem to have a lot of hunters in the area that like to party. Your video is very motivating and I'm stoked to get back out there this season.
Thank you! Yes love the rifle and sling. Thank you for watching and getting the motivation to get back out there. Let us know how you do! We’re on IG heritage_tradition_wa and would love to hear your story.
Awesome job! I’m pretty sure that is where we were hunting in 2021 also. Might see you next year.
Looks like a fun hunt, especially with family, thanks for taking me along I enjoyed watching. Wishing you guys more successful hunts in the future, thanks Kevin Bird
Thank you for watching! And if your out in the woods, best of luck to you also! We will keep throwing videos up as we go
I'm hope someday my dad will take me hunting to Wyoming when I get bigger. Joey
Great videos guys! Love the kids responses!! I like that your hunting with family and friends. Keep it up fellas! We’ll documented and I really enjoy these videos your producing! One tip, quit cutting your tags on rocks!!! Your killing your blade and me every time you do this. Just thought I’d suggest you save your blades for the animal break down. 😁
Thank you! Trust me your not the first to let us know about the knife, haha. Our Dad cringed and still makes comments about it. We will make adjustments for future videos. 💪🏼 thank you for the watch and the comment!
New subscriber here. Love your video. We have a similar TH-cam channel if you want to check it out, "Hunt and Gather with the Chatters".
Thanks! Will do!
You are really going to enjoy that new marsupial bino harness. Mr. Stewart. I bought a range finder - product is called TideWe . It matches up with vortex as quality goes . Thank you for being an amazing wood chop teacher. Best memories from high school.
You guy's are south west of Loomis aren't you?
Thanks for watching. Yes west of Loomis. Haven’t hunted that area before but heard it has good area. Appreciate the comment
@@heritagetradition1134 I grew up and live there.
Cool. Thanks
Thank you
Hello greetings from California Very good video I would like to ask you what calibers of rifles are you using and the brand of the backpacks I liked the way you load your rifle
Thank you for the comment view of the video! My brother and I shoot .270 and my Dad and Gregg shoot 7mm. I also use the mystery ranch metcalf pack. The gun sling your asking about is a separate attachment that works on most packs. It’s the Kifaru Universal Gun Bearer. Thank you!
Don't know how you hunt with your guns slinged like that
The Kifaru Universal Gun sling has a quick release latch. To me, it’s as fast as sliding it off my shoulder
Nice video work! What kind of pack was the shooter using? Slick rifle sling kit.
Thanks! I like to use the Mystery Ranch Metcalf pack. Rifle sling is the Kifaru universal gun sling. Thanks for watching!
Nice work!!
Thank you!
Your dad still teaching wood shop. Learned a lot from him. Mikes a good man. I hunt the wilderness I’ll give you a subscribe and follow
Haha awesome! Yeah he loved that so much and all of his students. Thank you for watching !
Look like coasties with no idea how to hunt here
I grew up hunting that area since the late 80's. My parents still have a place there but I haven't hunted it since all the burn. Brings back memories seeing those familiar draws and valleys. Congrats on the buck!
Thank you for watching!
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. 🇺🇲 Are those kifaru rifle scabbards?
Yes they are. It’s the universal gun bearer. Thank you for watching!
I was curious about the method of carrying under the arm.
Nice video good to do stuff with your dad.. He sure was happy to get that deer. I done that with my dad back in the days lost my dad in 1997 but i kept the his legacy going and teaching my boys the same thing my fad taught me.. Good hunting . God bless
Thank you for the view of the video. Yes Dad was pretty happy. Glad you kept up the tradition in your family and passed it along to your boys. Good luck hunting for you as well!
Can't believe you coundn't drag that deer down hill by yourself! Unbelievable and waste of meat!
Thank you for the comment and the view of the video. Your right we probably could have drug it but do prefer the gutless method for a variety of reasons. I also can assure you all meat was proper taken off that animal. All we left were the guts and the rib cage.
Gary…. Watch your own bobber.
I'll save you the anus on my next buck, Gary.
85 degrees one day next day snow late August hunt beautiful country
Thank you for watching
Looks the gellete area, ive done burgeesst junction, , bow hunting. 3 years in a row shot toad mule deer , seen ton of elk , and moose, great fishing as well high country
Thanks for watching. Not in Gellete but in rural WY. Thank you!
Put a strip of vinyl electric tape over your barrel end then give it a couple of wraps around. It keeps the rain, snow, mud out and won’t affect function or accuracy to shoot through it. Makes me cringe watching you walk in the rain with your barrel in the air.
I like to cut the pinky off of a nitrile glove for that
Thanks for the tip! Also thank you for watching we appreciate it. I do agree rain can ruin a good gun. Will be taking this feedback into next season!
Awesome job on the video
Thank you!
Congrats! Very nice buck and on the last day! Nice!
Thank you! A Last day buck is always a win. Appreciate the support
Great video and Great hunt. Sure miss those days of hunting with my dad.
I couldn’t agree more. We love hunting with our dad and Charish each year we can. That’s out “heritage tradition” moto. Thank you for watching
That’s a buck my old man would call “squirrelly” haha. Way to keep at it guys.
Thank you!
What a great hunt and awesome video! I hope to one day share a hunting camp with you boys and share laughs and long pack outs. Great shooting Mike and congrats on a nice buck. Can’t wait for your guys next video! Cheers!
Let’s plan it one of these years! Sure would be a great time. Thanks Klaye
Awesome
Thanks for watching!
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Good video friend , was just checking out your channel and i joined up
Thank you! Really appreciate it!
Nothing like a few weeks off in gods country!
Couldn’t agree more! Thank you for watching and the comment
I assume this is in Free Washington?
Yes. Thanks for watching
Just curious why mule deer hunters carry such huge backpacks?? Are you camping on the go?
Public land and miles on foot . Not a food plot or river bottom on private land to retrieve the animal. Most will de bone and pack out in 1 trip
@@Waterfowl406 So, real hunting?
Thank you for watching. We usually pack out a deer rather than drag out. Need the big pack for the meat. Thanks again!
@@tommyhunter1817 yes thank you!
Where do you guys live? I know KH and live near him. Great seeing local content.
Skagit County. KH has treated us well over the past few years and love his work.
Great vid, subbd. Its hard hunting there, too many people and not enough deer anymore.
Thank you for the subscription! Agreed on the hunting. Makes it tough only doing in state hunts anymore. Appreciate the comment and the follow.
Is this in the Winthrop area?
Eastside WA 😀 thanks for watching
Looks like "blank" (starts with an F) Canyon. I was on the south side across the canyon, I saw you guys and that tent on my way up. Crazy seeing this.
Ha! Good guess. That’s awesome you saw us and know the area. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Way to capture the moment. My fondest memories are of the trips I had with my dad muley hunting in the Okanogan. He passed last year, I'd give about anything for one more trip with him. Keep it up.
Thank you and our condolences about your father. Our idea here is to get in the outdoors. Spend that time with family and friends and share it. Appreciate the comment and the follow.
Nice buck w
