Main thoughts after the playthrough is that I'm very hopeful for this game. The controls feel responsive and good, the system of managing the sync rate during combat has a lot of potential for something more fun and more complex than a standard stamina meter, and enemies, particularly bosses, are very well designed in terms of AI and animations. The level layout is also well thought out with various secrets and side paths, along with the standard souls shortcuts. The weak points are the visuals, both the graphics and the art design, with the enemies lacking variety or creativity for the most part. The level looked drab and ugly, like a PS3 game. The main character and her costumes were at least very good. The story didn't give me any hooks to get interested, but I honestly care little for that in these types of games. The boss battles are what really draw me in, and both major bosses in the demo were bangers. If the full game can deliver a bunch more boss battles of that quality, then I'll probably end up loving this game. That said, I'm worried that they showed us their best stuff here, and the full game won't entirely live up to it. Also, the camera is jank as hell.

In retrospect, this fight with the Dragon Hunters Great Katana seems like a Rykard with Serpent Hunter sort of situation, but implemented better. Instead of giving the weapon a gimmick that only works for the fight, they gave it properties that perfectly counter the boss, with its anti-dragon long-distance unique skill that keeps you safe from his AOE fire and ground explosions. This really is a banger of a boss fight, definitely my favorite non-humanoid boss in the DLC and probably the entire game, and one of the best bosses, period.

Congratulations for your win against Dancing Lion but a better weapon for a Tifa cosplay in DLC is Dryleaf Arts (its the martial art weapon that showed in first trailer for Shadows of Erdtree. Alternatively you can use Star Fists or Spiked Ceastus for a Tifa build .

"Why would there be giant enemy crabs in this area" You can notice a significant drop in quality in game design after Leyndell, there's lots of reused enemies and bosses here and there's much less content than Limgrave for example. This part of the game was definitely rushed.
