Cybernoid Remix (1995) [Nebulon Response] [Scream Tracker 3 / S3M]
This is a remix - "Nebulon Response" - I made in 1995 of Cybernoid theme music by Jeroen Tel from the C64 game with the same name. One of the most memorable music from my childhood. I never really released the remix, but here it is now. Originally made with Scream Tracker 3. I recall I had Gravis Ultrasound as soundcard back then when I was 16. The track does not cover the full song as it took some effort to do it by ear. I might have recorded the music to casette for reference playback or something..
Video replay with Schism Tracker, which is Impulse Tracker clone and somewhat similar as Scream Tracker 3.
My scene alias was OVERRiDE ^ DOZER back in 1995 and few years later changed to Mark Vera.

Another great track! Love the arrangement and how well the chiptune style melody works with the guitar and synths! Judging from the point distribution, the competition must have been really intense. Keep up the excellent work! Addendum: Please excuse my rotten brain, but I couldn't help to think you were teasing "Bad Apple!!" with the chiptune at 0:40 as an April fools joke
Thanks! I must say I had not ever heard about Bad Apple!!. I had to google what you are referring to, and if letting imagination flow there is some similarity there yes! The background has same kind of rhythm.
@@markvera I hope you are not mad that you were forced to listen to a much overused anime-related meme. To be honest, I am not good at picking music apart and did not really hear the subtleties in the background. I mainly thought that the chiptune motif (5 ascending notes) at 0:41 sounded identical to the beginning of the main melody of the song in question
Great song, congrats on making it to a place on the podium! In my totally non-biased opinion, yours was the best entry for the music competition. AHKIO sounds great as well, though
