Daytona International Speedway ride along in 2018 BMW M5
im assuming that the yellow 0 car is Chris Patterson. After watching about 50 races the 0 car raced in i learned that….at the 86’ World 100…..Chris is female. The announcer kept calling her “Chrissie”. I havent heard any other announcer mention that. Is there a Chris and a Chrissie? any info would be much obliged, could find anything on the Michigan entry on the internet
big ole’ half mile. I LIKE IT! better track, better cars in the late models back then and way more of them. waaay more talent too. Also i like it when they qualify one at a time instead of 3 while the auctioneer talks way too fast for me to understand a word hes saying.
Maybe they can be like Wally Fowler and Mike Gault did
There was nothing like watching a 24 car national field. Come off turn 4 and come down the front stretch at the Old Cherokee. Between that concrete! Man it was loud! This doesn’t do it justice.
Uyy😂
Scumbag win.
did you get that airbag checked out
Miss those days.
Havatampa super late models came to Southampton speedway 1993 ,I think 93. They were incredible. Good old days. Chipper Bailey.
That dude was the best race commentator ever. Don’t care what anybody says either, the 1/2 mile was better.
Yeah ol Walter could call a race
💯
Wish I could hear the announcer better in the video.olWalter could sure call a race
Miss those T and L races at Cherokee!
Is that initiation dragging a driver or crew member through the mud in victory lane?
Can't wait for it never been but going this year
Do you have any footage of the Dixie outlaw minisprint association? We ran cherokee some in the 90's
This is some great quality for 1999.
forget the racin, they need bring that hog back to make a lap.
Best night was Hooker throwin' Butter Bean off the starters stand.
..... and I was sellin' cotton candy and cokes in the grandstand.
Never get ice cream here. My dad saw a kid scooping the ice cream and licking it every time he put it back.
When Cherokee was Cherokee and not half the track it used to be
Many good times at Riverside
The way it was done back in the day and when you knew you were in the way you didn't cry when you got moved 💯😂 The right car won 👍
I just turned 10 when this race took place. I was watching it on top of billy Scott’s trailer while my dad was part of the pit crew. That’s some the best memories I have of dad!
WHAT IS STRAWBERRY DAVIS'S FIRST NAME
Earl
Perfactly called 🥂🏁. about time that B/S last corner dump & run STUPIDITY was put in its place & perspective 👍
I loved that 1/2 mile dirt track. I drove about 70 miles to see it. I remember when there was no outside retaining wall in Turns 1 and 2. The high groove was the fastest. It was exciting to watch the divers run a Darlington line around the trrack. Occasionally somebody would slide right out of the track, and dive back on the track in Turn 2. Good times. Thanks so much for posting this.
Clint sure wasn’t the man to beat in open wheels in the 90’s that title goes to the #70 Bo Smith.
That super late model race at 1:13:30 was one of the best races ever at Cherokee Speedway.
How did the number 5 win beings he got spun in turn 4?
I was at this race, loved Riverside, hated to see it close, grew up going there every weekend with my dad, loved those hot dogs
This is amazing, thanks for sharing !!
What an amazing piece of dirt racing history
Back When it was a Race track! Its a shit hole now..
I havent been to a race since they reconfigured it. Miss the big old 1/2 mile
Strawberry Davis was the best I ever seen love brother straw
Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed the T& L class. I miss the BIG half mile
Americana southern style
I miss this track🇺🇲🏁
A lot of us do, Tr speedway just isn't the same
Follow the leader... :-(
Them boys put on one helluva show. And I loved to hear them engines twisted.
Mr.Excitment!!!!!
who is winning
Legendary announcer!
Walter was the best announcer
Man, those were some great times back then...loved the T&L races every week....the fought hard before, during, and a bunch after the races!...Great times👍
For sale?
Is it still for sale ??
He has already sold it
I was wanting one of these so bad until I drove my friends. I was so motion sick it was terrible.
Man oh man...when racing didn’t cost a arm and a leg and was real close and intense racing I miss this track and those days...miss riverside
Meanwhile here's a driver I will not mention at Riverside taking others out and not getting in trouble. Won't mention any names, but I'll just say he has a few different race cars that are all ugly wrapped #6 cars.
Wtf your using a rearview mirror?? What kinda cheating shit is that
Every sat night for twenty years miss home lot's of great memories
It's 4 wide
