The Bible indicates that baptism is a plea to God for mercy, where the only active "work" is performed by God, who removes our sins (Colossians 2:12). During baptism, God is the one doing the work, while humans take a passive role, allowing someone else to immerse them in water "in the name of the Lord" (Acts 10:47-48; 8:36-38). Through faith in Jesus, we undergo immersion, seeking forgiveness and committing to a new beginning (born of water and Spirit), rising to live in "newness of life." Baptism is not a human accomplishment to boast about before God. It is entirely an act of faith in Jesus, and refusing baptism signifies a lack of faith in Him.

False doctrine is very dangerous. Most people who are taught falsely and believe falsely becomes more and more deceived as time goes on and they become convinced to believe a lie!
Mark 16:16. Jesus himself said "HE THAT BELIEVE AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED." Faith is one who believes. When an individual believes they must repent; confess that Jesus is the Son of GOD and be obedient to water baptism. Baptism puts an individual into Christ (Roman 6:3-4). Galatians 3:27 Paul says, For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ has put on Christ. I Peter 3:20-21. The Apostle Peter says, Which sometimes were disobedience when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was a preparing, were in a few that is eight souls were saved by water. The like figure where unto even baptism doth also save us (not the putting away of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If any individual really wants to know GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION. Read Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus commanded his disciples to make disciples of all Nations and "BAPTISING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER; SON & HOLY SPIRIT." Clearly Jesus was very specific in his instructions to his disciples concerning the "SALVATION OF GOD." When an individual read Acts chapter 2 clearly the Apostle Peter preach the Gospel of Christ for the very first time. About three thousand individuals asked the Apostle Peter "WHAT SHALL WE DO?" Acts 2:37-38. Since they have already heard, and believed in the preaching of Peter. Peter told them to "REPENT & BE BAPTIZED." When about three thousand individuals obeyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ that day, GOD ADDED THEM TO THE CHURCH." They didn't "JOINED THE CHURCH." That Church they were added to by GOD was the Church Jesus promised to build in Matthew 16:18, The Church of Christ. It's all about an individual truly humbling themselves to admit that they are following a false doctrine, and be obedient to the Will of GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION."
I was a former member of the Pentecostal Church for 14 years. I believed the same false doctrine (FAITH ONLY). When finally and truly humbled myself to the Will of GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION I humbly obeyed and was baptized for the remission or the forgiveness of sins through the "BLOOD OF CHRIST."
It’s amazing how many people fail to see the variety of works discussed in the Bible. The only reason to see them all the same is to force an interpretation that doesn’t exist, while ignoring all the contradictions it creates. Notice how many phrases Trevor uses that don't exist in the Bible. That's because the entire argument he is making is a theological argument, not a Biblical argument.
He did admit his religion is salvation through disobedience to Gods commandments and that he is regenerated i.e. born again BEFORE one believes in the gospel.

TRAEVER, YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB!!! Soli Deo Gloria
He did admit his religion is salvation through disobedience to Gods commandments and that he is regenerated i.e. born again BEFORE one believes in the gospel.
@@bellcoolmountain6650 nope, you are obviously COC and do not understand justification by faith alone
@@TheApologeticDog @2:34:06 That is exactly what he taught therefore believes. It is you who doesn't understand your doctrine . If you understood it you would have realized long ago that it cannot be understood. Impossible to make the illogical logical
Traever said word for word, quote " regeneration precedes your faith" You calvininists always make the accusation that others do not understand Calvinism.
@@TheApologeticDog I have a question for you, Can I come to faith then get sick and die without obeying the gospel to be baptized Acts 10:47-48 and go to heaven? Salvation through disobedience to Gods commandments
Thanks Aaron Beard for sharing this with me 😊 Both sermons were great!! ❤ #AbbyGeorge🦋

Thank you so much, Aaron, for these lessons, They have been such an encouragement to me and you do such a good job! I know they take a lot of work and I so appreciate your efforts. I am so thankful for cell phones, UTube and technology during this trying time. (I never thought I would say that because sometimes there is too much technology). May God bless you and your family and keep you safe.
