Werner Trucking is embroiled in a $100 million lawsuit where their driver was driving according to the dash cam about 42 mph in conditions like this when a minivan lost control on the other side and came through the median and hit the truck head on killing a child. The jury found the trucker about 85% liable after experts testified that for the road conditions on the day of the accident the trucker should have been going no more than 35 mph and if he would have been there would have been no accident so it's mostly the trucker's fault. That's how these maggot attorneys think so don't assume this trucker will not find himself at least partially liable, this is the world we live in today where it's always somebody else's fault. Werner is appealing that ridiculous verdict and don't know where it stands now but good luck to them.

I drove off and on through the years for a total of about 15 years cross country. I’ve pulled reefers, flatbeds, container, and even a mobile shower doing events all over the U.S. While this doesn’t make me the greatest expert of all experts to ever share an opinion, it does mean I’m not just an armchair critic. I thought the truck driver did a fine job. He stayed calm, he reacted in an intelligent practical manner, maintaining perfect control of his vehicle and didn’t overreact when the car hit him. There was nothing I can see that he could or should have done differently. I would ride with this driver anytime as a co-driver if I wasn’t retired.

First of all, it is not your fault, you did well and reacted properly to it. He hit you, you didn't cause him to spin. Second, it looks like a vert Camaro to me(correct me if I'm wrong), not saying FRs(RWD) cannot be driven in the snow but it is the riskiest out of all the platforms to control in such weather condition.

Multiple times I’ve been the witness to a fender bender and I’ve watched as the officer tells one driver go stand over there, the other driver go stand way over there, then when I start telling the officer what happened 1 or both of the drivers in the fender bender walk closer trying to hear me tell what happened, then the officer says to them I told you to stay back there while I get his statement. It’s a really good idea to listen to the officer.
