7am to 3 pm is hands down the best hours you can work. My parents work these hours and they have time to raise me and my brother and time to spend in their lives. 7 to 3 should be the normal business hours in my opinion in small communities. In a city were there is a bit more traffic and back and forth 07:30-15:30 just so you wont get up too early.

How can he say so casually 11 PM to 7 AM is just an overnight shift? It’s worse for your sleep than 3-11 PM. At least you can catch up on shows to watch and play video games all night.

3-11 is HORRIBLE. Whole day almost just GONE.

I used to hate the 3pm-11pm shift, I mean I still do but sleeping as soon as I get out of the shower has me waking up at 7am at the latest which gives me plenty of time to do stuff and the mornings are mostly peaceful.

I prefer 8am-4pm. It's early enough where you can avoid a lot of traffic coming to and from work. It's light enough where you do activities and errands afterwards. Though as a mail carrier I can have an 8-12 hour depending on the mail volume, package volume, extra swings (helping out with other routes) and the season of the year. When delivering mail the following occurs. Spring: -Light Mail. -Amazing weather. -Best time to deliver mail. Summer: -Moderate Mail. -Weather is tolerable but you'll sweat a lot and drink a ton of water. (High risk of heat exhaustion or worse heat stroke.) = 2 gallons of water/day minimum. -It's hot but on some days it's more tolerable than others. Fall: -Slightly heavier mail. -More mandatory over time. (10 hour days) -Better weather than the Summer. Winter: -Heaviest time of the year. -Lots of over time. (12 hour days) -It's colder but way more tolerable than Summer.

I work 3 to 11 and it's not that bad tbh. I get home at like 12 and i'm usually knocked out by 1-1:30 and up in the morning at 8-9. Got from 8 til 3 to do whatever that needs to be done. Although there are some days where I get home and can't sleep until like 3-4 in the morning and wake up right when I pretty much only have time to shower and get ready to go to work but other than that I don't even trip about it tbh. Then again I worked 3rd shift and that shit was hell sometimes. Like if it wasn't for my co-workers at that job I would've quit years ago.

3 to 11 is only bad if you're worried about "making moves." But that shouldn't be an issue since most "moves" are done on Friday or Saturday night. You mean to tell me your 1st shift friends can't handle staying up for a few more hours Friday or Saturday night? Also if you work 2nd and feel like your entire day is just work then you need to prioritize whether you want more time in the morning before work or more time at night after work. If you get off at 11 then go to sleep at 1:30 then you should wake up anywhere from 9 to 10. That gives you 5 or 6 hours to chill or knock out some errands. And on weekends you can just swap it around and have a short morning and stay up late.

I work 7am-7pm but i get 3 or 4 days depending on if i decide to work Saturday i just couldn't work 8s only getting 2 days off its really not even long enough off and there longer too me its almost like your working 12s everyday lol 🤣

Yeah I work the 3-11pm shift at a hotel💀 It sucks cause I love having time for myself but hate getting up early so I end up waking up 2 hours before work which is not enough time and then stay up for like 3 hours when I home. I participate in revenge-sleep procrastination. I can't see my family or friends except in the morning or weekends. Half the time my family works in the morning so yeah it sucks💀

Working 12-8 today. Not bad, but it’s the day after daylight’s saving in the fall, so it’s gonna get dark so early 😭
