I am a New Zealand based car enthusiast with a passion for all cars however find myself drawn to strange and uncommon cars more often than not. Unfortunately this means along with my geographic isolation means that I have to find my own solutions to common issues usually involving making my own parts or adapting parts to fit.
Follow along as I take my current three cars through modifications and minor maintenance.

In this video I install the components required for a coil on plug conversion. This is for my Gen 2 3SGTE for my Gen 5 Celica GT-Four ST185. I use 1ZZT coils which fit perfectly and a custom bracket and harness. The wiring for the 1ZZT coils as you look at the coil pack are Pin1: Earth, Pin2: Trigger, Pin3: Ignition feedback, Pin4: Power. I used 7.5amp 18 AWG wire for the harness. The coils are...
Samsung Jet 90 Pet Turbo Action Brush Disassembly
มุมมอง 15K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The turbo action brush on my Samsung Jet 90 pet vacuum stopped spinning, I suspected it was just clogged up with hair so instead of spending $100 on a new brush I figured out how to disassemble it and after cleaning it it works like new again. All you need is a number 2 phillips head screw driver and a flat head screw driver or a small prying tool. It takes about 10 minutes and is relativly eas...

THANK YOU.. that end part with the bearing was a nightmare to open without breaking. I ended up cracking one side but, luckily, the screw holds it down just fine. I ended up taking the plastic end off and just drilling a hole to access the screw next time. I taped over it to keep dust out.
I knew it had to come apart, but couldn't figure it out. You clearly have a lot of patience. Sure seems like they could come up with a better design for easily removing hair on that end of the brush. Thanks so much for posting this and saving me $110!
It works but the first time trying to get it off, like some people have said, is torture.. You can def do it but it is not easy at all.
Brilliant, fixed my vacuum, thanks. I thought I was in for £70 for a new brush head!
Did you ever install the wiring?
Well that was very helpful.. Thankyou.. Where do I buy the strips of brush so I can replace them.. I am in Australia so a general idea would e really great.. 💋
thank you for posting this, helped me fix mine!
Пиздешь, провозился 2 часа, так и не открыл.
Hi, thanks for sharing this easy to follow video. I was wondering if you used any gasket sealant and whether it's necessary? Is that gasket still holding up?
Thank you for posting this video. It was immensely helpful to fix the issue with my vacuum cleaner.
thanks!
You saved me so much money! Thank you❤
LOL 😂 Yea, prying the base w those clips to remove the roller is a B*tch. See you omitted having to go thru that part (the actual prying) but at least thanks for showing how to fix this flimsy vac. The plastic (why not steel clips samsung HELLO) clips are really hard not to break so they’re just dumb imo or like someone else here said - just have a screw on either side of the roller, but noooo - there wouldn’t be as many parts to pay for and replace or not as many maintenance fees right? This is either a huge design flaw or capitalism at its finest. Whichever it is, I’m changing my review on Amazon to 2 stars. And adding the price is laughable with a huge design flaw this obvious. Who doesn’t vac up hair? NO ONE Its the main vac problem everyone runs into so not making a vac that lasts beyond a year before having to take it apart (and yes, I cleaned the roller religiously) is NOT worth that price. Having to clean the roller after every use or sweep your carpet w a broom for hair before vacuuming everytime is a pain in the *ss. Who has time for that? Occasionally yes. Everytime - no. Do better Samsung.
When’s the next video, great content, love from the uk , and wiring diagrams for the coil loom ?
Underrated video. I was shocked at how much tangled hair was packed into that bearing area. Works like new. Thank you!
Thanks for this guide video. Any idea of how to change that flexible hose? Mine had a tear in it causing the vacuum ineffective.
benefits?
Very nice work!! How did you find the diagram for each of the 6 wires coming from the ECU side?
How about torquing the bolts

Thanks a lot.
After much torment, I finally managed to open this roller-brush. I used two knives to press down on the teeth from the inside, and also a thin flathead screwdriver to pry up the entire block and separate it from the base. If anyone needs photos, write and I’ll share. Thanks to the author of the video and all the commentators.
Hey mate, do you have photos of that area with the tabs? I can’t for the life of me get enough clearance to slide my screw driver in between.
Photos please!
@@leongmkw drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vlXRCbWOXLhgQ8DfHrdA5N-DP5ecNXC8?usp=sharing Be careful, it is very easy to break the teeth at the base.
@@giyengar drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vlXRCbWOXLhgQ8DfHrdA5N-DP5ecNXC8?usp=sharing
can you pass those photos here too? maybe make a public file so others can just click it?
Works also for Jet 75. Thanks for the tip. This is the main design flaw that I can see. Brush removal should be easier. I'm tempted to drill a hole in the outer plate to allow easy access to the screw which retains the roller through it's axis. My wife has long thick hair and I can see me performing this routine often!
Huge design flaw. And yes, a screw on Both sides vs flimsy little plastic clips for assembly of attachment of roller to base - which you have to try to pry delicately to not break - would be sooo much better. But corporations gotta make more $$$. Parts aren’t cheap. Such BS
Where did you buy them?
I was able to find them at a local suspension specialist, in NZ I used SAS suspension services
good video but popping the bottom "bracket" off is difficult. Feels as if it will break. It didn't, but definiately force is necessary. ALOT of dirt and hair gets pulled into the area wear the bearings are. All in all thanks for the assist
Anymore updates on the cam trigger setup and wirings for it?
I am running the engine on a MaxxECU Race, the whole system seems to be working well. Waiting on a few finishing touches before it can be tuned properly. Been too busy to upload anything unfortunately
@@junkfoodjoyrideahh no worries
@@junkfoodjoyride any lunk getting the video uploaded?
Was this a 4m40?
Hey yes a 4m40t
J'aim la vidéo mais explique en français
Very impressive home made stuff, looks very professional. I'm currently having a shop pull out my 2nd gen 3sgte and replace it with a 5s block, but keeping the 3s head. Is this pretty much all there is to it? what about the cam sensor and what not?
I am using a MaxxEcu and with a racer X fab cam sensor kit. Was super easy to install
@@junkfoodjoyride are you using the old distributor as the cam sensor?
stock exhaust manifold? didn't want to try aftermarket?
I am still considering it, but for my goals I don't think it's worth it, and I don't think the majority look any better.
Wasted spark sistem's?
Direct sequential spark with an aftermarket ECU
Would this also apply to the MR2 3S GTE Gen 1?
It should be similar enough, there will probably be some differences in the bolt locations and patterns.
This has been very helpful as you're showing how to clean out both ends....not just the easy end. Thanks mate!
So hard to find any breakdowns or troubleshooting for the Jets. Unfortunately this isn't the issue I'm having, but still glad i watched for future reference. 🤘🏼
Just fixed the same problem...jet 75...thank you very much good Sir!
Gonna look into this as mine are shit here in Aus, and new headlamps or resilvering cost pretty much the same here and it's expensive
I'm hoping you are in NZ and that these got through the WOF. My originals have failed and resilvering costs a fortune. Might as well invest in a pair of these sweeties!
Hey, yes I am in NZ and these did get through WOF. You just have to make sure that the DRL's turn off when the headlights are on.
What u use injector? Is t cmplet with fuel rail?
I used Xspurt injectors. I had to buy them separately.
Needs black trophy style surrounds. Otherwise great job 👏
Depends what look you're going for; personally I prefer this more original look.
@@garyallsopp6369yes me to looks a bit more classic i think
Ok, I've reassembled it, but now it's making this rattling noise as if it became unbalanced somehow. Could it be because of the bearing?
Hi, I'm not sure what could make it rattle, possibly a screw or broken piece.

Thanks for the vid! Had pet hair slowing mine down.
What to do about oil? Do you inset new cartridge dry, or have to put oil in there?
You insert it dry, the original shock is a single assembly while the replacement is a cartridge that slides into the housing and is retained by the end cap.
great vid
Hello. Please help, I don't understand how you took it apart. I can't get to those places. Can you post a video showing you taking the brush apart? I have already shoveled the entire Google.
What part? Is there a time in the vid you want me to explain more?
@@junkfoodjoyride Can you show the process itself, how do you open the brush? In the video, you demonstrate it already open, offering to crawl into the grooves with a screwdriver. But I don’t have any gaps in the brush, even the nail piochka won’t fit through, not to mention the screwdriver. So I want to see the very moment the brush opens.
@@junkfoodjoyride Perhaps you could at least take a couple of photos of this process?
I was stuck at the same part. I just used a small screwdriver and pried carefully until it popped off. Once off I could see the tabs but not before I went at it blind.
I have a Jet75. Supposedly the same, maybe there are revisions. My roller is (like I think is the same with another comment) in a housing where the tabs keeping it in place are hidden. No access to them as shown in the video. So I would need to go blind and after putting as much force as I dare, I have not been able to pop off the roller so it remains out of action. Might try again some day.
Nice cover/adapter plate. Is that a one off/custom piece? Any chance you’d be able to share any details - I’d love to recreate that or possibly 3d print something like that for my setup. Thanks!
Yea, it's a custom part I just made using some alloy plate, did you want me to post some dimensions for it?
@@junkfoodjoyride That would be great!
Cool channel concept, been interested myself for a while Subscribed 👍
great thanks
oh my gosh, thanks for posting this! i couldn't figure out how to open it coz of all the hair that accumulated in the rollers and there didn't seem to be any tutorials for it anywhere online. i can't believe how much work that was to just clean it out
Hey Pal! Love the video, wanting to do the same conversion to my mgf, are you able to share the projector headlight make and source that you got?
I really appreciate the comments, I used this (www.ebay.com/itm/304025911177?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=yOy7BA7lTuu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=fGeX1OxeQyu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) they are still working fine too, the only thing I would suggest is get the brightest bulbs you can, the stock ones work but it made a noticably improvement when I upgraded the bulbs too.
