I saw this at a Drive In movie theater with my father when I was just a child. I was able to buy this on a DVD and watch it about once a year. I am on a cruise ship and have the time to watch it again.
This is an entertaining movie and I enjoyed watching it. I have to say that I didn't understand why they ejected? The Mother ship stayed in orbit and didn't crash? The escape pods had fuel, couldn't that have been used?

This movie came out in the '60s I believe or early 70s but the rovers on Mars now are sending back pictures similar to this scenery
