It’s so crazy how those puncture holes heal up in a day or two Trey!! I had to start carrying cutting pliers too because it is like an epidemic with me now. Happening all the time🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. Most of my nymph fishing is with barbless hooks so that helps out a ton with my self inflicted hook sets🤣. Gotta say you took that small jaw’s hook set like a champ. Keep up the good work buddy.

Hey Trey. Housatonicfreestyle Scott here. Great video and some fantastic looking small jaws too. (The snakes may keep me up tonight though. lol). There are timber rattlers where I fish but I have yet to see one and I hope it stays that way. Hope you place well in the tournament brother👍👍.

Can't tell for certain in the video, but that looks like a copperhead, and they are much more mellow. Water moccasins are mean. He would have charged you. I had one stand his ground against my car.

Idk where your from so Ig I don’t really know what I’m taking about but iv personally never seen a water moccasin that looks like that, tho the banded-diamond back water snakes around my area look a lot more like that than a water moccasin. In my experiences most adult size moccasins I see are usually very dark in color and not as complex of a back pattern I know you sed cotton mouth in the video and I used the term “water moccasin” tho they are the same species
