Channel Expansion: Early Childhood Development, Simplicity Parenting, Myofunctional Therapy and More
Hi TH-cam, it's been four years since I’ve posted videos here! From 2020-2022 I was busy growing my Myofunctional Therapy practice, serving patients in three different states, and focusing on further continuing my education and growing my clinical skill set. In the past year, I have enjoyed the major life transition of becoming a mother. This transition has had a huge impact on me both personally and professionally. I am excited to be back on TH-cam sharing a lot of the things I have learned along the way (things they never taught me in school). My focus has shifted from exclusive Myofunctional Therapy to broader topics in early childhood growth and development, respectful parenting, and breastfeeding (it was so much more challenging than I thought but something i am still a huge proponent of).
Looking forward to sharing what I'm learning with all of you!

Im 55 and have had sever asthma most of my life. However, over the last 5 years I've noticed that after I eat food, I begin to have what "feels" like an asthma attack, but when I burp the asthma feeling goes away completely! Sometimes I burp right away, but if I eat too fast I may struggle to breath and burp an hour later and again, totally fine. This does not sound like asthma and I don't really deal with acid reflux or that feeling of it coming up the throat. I wonder if its inflammation in my throat, could the food get stuck and when I burp, more air goes through? Would love your thoughts on this.

Hello Danielle, I’m 26 and unfortunately I was diagnosed TMD lately and it’s been 1 year. Now the pain was extremely high with swelling, even the headache, tinnitus, sleep apnea, neck pain. These all are piling up and the shape of my face is changing rapidly. These all are making me depressed and hopeless. After watching your videos, I realized the root cause for my tmj. When I was a kid until 5 years I used to suck my 2 fingers (index and middle) and now I noticed my tongue is not resting at the correct position. I’m suffering with my neck and upper back pain since I was 14 years and went to many physicians and none helped me because they were not aware that my tongue position is not good. These all things happened just because of lack of awareness. You are doing a great job🙏 and I’m looking for your myofunctional Exercises videos for tmj.

I’ve been suffering from TMJ for the last year. I got 3 wisdom teeth removed and frenectomy last May and weeks after I noticed extreme pain in my face and body. Constant neck and shoulder pain, facial pain, facial twitching, list goes on. Oral surgeon never mentioned how crucial myofunctional therapy is before a frenectomy…I have been wearing a splint 24/7 since December, see a myofunctional therapist weekly, and just started PT a few weeks ago. How long did it take for all the symptoms to be cured?

After a few hours of being consistent with it my jaw just gets fairly fatigued/sore. I also do deal with TMJ issues/jaw and neck soreness. I've recently discovered that it is not normal to swallow with your tongue thrusting forward! For as long as I can remember in my 18 years on this Earth, I've always swallowed like that. Everybody that I know has always told me that I chew and swallow very loud and wonder if tongue thrust is the cause of that. Also, surprisingly, I never developed the tongue thrust gap in my teeth, but I do have overcrowding teeth since I too realized that I had a bad habit of resting my tongue on the bottom, especially when I'm playing the violin, but I have been Mewing for 2 months as of now.
