Your stator wouldn't cause you to loose spark. All it mainly does is charge your battery. I've got a 216 so I'm very familiar with those mowers and I say your points were your problem the whole time. Because if it was your plug, you would have still had spark when you used your inline spark checker. Great video. Those old mowers are awesome. I love mine.

@@BainWilliamson extra parts are always good otherwise make sure the motor turns over pretty easy check compression if possible otherwise my yellow one is great other then it doesn’t like to start when warm and I’m still working on my purple one but they are super fun
