I can't believe you didn't put your dirty washing in that drum, a free wash 😂😁😂
What is the thing he used to fill the oil with
I thought you meant it broke at 1500 lol yea mine right at 1500 too love it lot more than I thought i would!❤
Can u plug in a fuel line from the front?
Yes
@@hazwaz7166 thanks 👌
Avec du recul que vaut ce moteur 6 CV merci
6:40, many Pulls? I unboxed my motor 2 days ago same motor, i had only nly 4-7 Pulls. To getbsatrtet. Extreme easy. And the inside of my motor cover is Gray coated
Did the vibration ever improve on your motor? I see there are some that have worse vibration than others, but im 5 hours into the break in period and it vibrates so much I feel like the boat will vibrate apart. Just wasnt sure if after the break in period and the longer you use it, the vibration gradually decreases.
It doesn't ever get as smooth as a johnson or evinrude. I would say it gets a little better. I would just find a good rpm that is the smoothest.
@SM-Tackle ok thanks. Yeah I know this motor is basically the same as a mercury or Tohatsu and they vibrate as well. Johnson and Evinrude motors are fantastic motors. It sad that they went out of business. I'll send an update once I get some hours on this engine. Thanks.
@SM-Tackle Update - been running it for 12 hours now, finishing off the 25:1 gas that's in the tank then will go to 50:1. Got 3 gallons of gas with the 25:1 and I wasn't expecting this engine to be super fuel efficient, but it does excellent on gas. Running it at half throttle, the vibrations are very tolerable now. No aggressive vibrations anymore. 3/4 throttle still a little shaky but getting better. Probably will pur once I get about 20 hours on the engine, yet I may not get that many by October, cause then I'll need to put it in storage for the winter. So far, on the 14 ft aluminum boat that we have, with me and someone else, it goes about 8 to 9.5 mph, and with 3 people we get about 5 to 7 mph. Me alone I get about 11 mph, so not bad. So far very solid motor. Very happy with it.
Where'd you get the fuel tank and gas line from? I thought the 2 stroke doesn't come with it from the factory... just the internal tank with the option to hook up an external one. Can you clarify?
This is WAY steeper in person. Camera never does it justice
Yeah and when you make it right here you might as well just jeep going 🤣
lol I dropped it
Is so loud
I've had mine for a few years and beat on it an it's great for the price. Nice and quiet to. I run true fuel witch is expensive but it's non ethanol and never have carb issues
I see this video is 3 years old. Are you still having good results?
I only had it about a year and half and my friend dropped it off his boat.

Does the break in have to be done all at once? Or can you do it over like 2 days?
It doesn't have to be done at once
mine came with gear oil in it already, purrin like a kitten though
I wouldn't trust what was in mine it was like mineral oil.
They announced it today 6/27/24 😎
Good thing because the dewalt took a crap.
Good thing because the dewalt took a crap already. I seen it and it look like the cats meow!
Are the Grand Trunk logos supposed to be on the inside? Looking at the seams and linelocs, the orientation of the tarp itself seems to be right but the dang logos are printed on the inside. I have two other GT tarps and its the same way. I dont understand why they do this.
I honestly don't think so but I'm not forsure I have used it in some heavy rain storms and it's still holding up the hammock bug net did mess up once and I had to replace it.
Just got one of these. After 3 hours of running- in, the water cooling water has gone down to a drip.
Both have pros/cons just like everything in boating. Some lazy days just putting around on the St Croix I wish I had a little 15 4 stroke because you can't even tell they're running half the time. My 25 Johnson weighs about the same though and has at least 2x the thrust. Definitely makes a huge difference in the fun factor. Sometimes need the punch when I load up with the GF and a weekends worth of camping gear to run up river.
Bạn giúp tôi được không.tôi có mua một chiếc mà nó không bơm nước lên được. Bạn hướng dẫn sử dụng giúp tôi với. Cám ơn bạn nhiều
Still have this motor? How’s it held up?
It did great for almost 2 years and I let a friend use it and it came off his boat in a pretty deep spot
@SM-Tac😢😢kle
Th DLX goes way over 45 mph especially with mods.. buddy had one for 3 years until he bought his Indian.. he loved it but after he got his Chevy Malibu fixed he sold the hawk to a buyer in our hometown.. he loved it but needed the cash.. life lol
what cooler did you have on this if you remember? i use my daily and on the roads and still air cooling
Just a ozark trail soft bag on. I love this bag because ot fots 2 medium pizza from dominos and keeps them hot on the way home!

Same here bro the one in my profile pic was my Hawk, the one on my page now is my KLR
Does this have suppressor in video?
The Johnson owns that merc
4 Stoke Is better for Fishing and cruising around with no headaches afterwards, If you want speed and Torque+ Smoke then 2 Stroke.
Cool trail

4 stroke always the best
After 2 years how's the motor!!
is this a good bike for beginners?
Yes
Very 👌🏾
Yk the 2 stroke motor is great but it has a carb
How lng did this motor last i see the video was osted 2 years ago just wondering how its held up
I had it aboutb2 years on the 2nd seasong I had let a friend try it on his john boat and he didn't fasten it down good and it came on after hitting a stump and he didn't have a safety chain on it. It was a great little motor they are a little under powered compared to good name brands the 6 is more like a 4 or 5 hp but ran great and always started easy. Would definitely buy another in a pinch. Would always see what you find find localy name brand first tho.
SM-Tackle thanks for the info I'm thinking about going and looking at a new 6 hp Suzuki tomorrow was thinking about one of these to finish out the summer with but they are out of stock anyway . Still may try one later. What I really want is a 9.9 of some kind. I have a 3.9 mercury now but it's an older motor and has been randomly dying on me it has been starting right back up but am afraid to go very far in it but I appreciate your info

That tarp is way too short, but neat tarp
I have slept in this setup in some really big storms and stayed very dry.
@@SM-Tackle well, glad to hear it works, nothing feels like reliable gear!
Your not kidding. I still believe this is a pretty good setup. I do love military gear they have a 5 piece sleep system that is amazing.
@@SM-Tackle no no, I love it, was just worried it's too short. I guess storms in Croatian coast hit differently as you have such a gusts of wind that setup like that would be risky. I use my Aquaquest defender for winter camping and a tarp and prob the best setup honestly. Not worried about the ground
does the motor have an extra fuel tank?
It's internal
I was a Kawasaki guy for many years and been riding for 50. Had the first 500s then 750s when they came out but my bought new 1972 175 enduro (loved that bike!) took me all over the back areas-and hwys after given a chance to cool off ever so often. Then a move to Alaska where it was run back into the mountains/bush constantly. Then bored out a couple times, expansion chamber and goodies on it and it would easily walk on the rear wheel any time in 3rd gear. A revving torque monster that I could fix with hardware stuff beside the animal trail I was riding. I rode that bike for years before selling, really giving, it to a friend. I did the KLR also around the country/Canada as well as other bikes (a 350 Honda everyone loved). The KLR is an icon of back country riding-love it. I roll a 2014 Suzuki Vstrom 1000 ADV and with some wrenching, different gearing, worked suspension and stuff it is trench digger yet still good on the hwy. Super reliable and again easy to wrench with no issues since new. But I would take a KLR anytime. You just have to wrench a bit but for what they can do it is a great trade off. Stay safe in your travels my friend.
Thank you for sharing your awesome story! I could only dream of riding around Alaska, man what a life you have lived!
Holy shit I forgot I was given one many many years ago, when I was in 5th grade my buddy bought one and gave it to me, never used it until freshman man year on a camping trip and everyone thought I was bear grylls. The memories! Wow Update: going though my closet I found it!
Very awesome every time I show someone they are blown away. I also have the grill kit for it.
Everything looks good but fire extinguisher should be more in hand
Why bro?
🥰😁👍👍👍
Strap it down, it’s also safety for others!
How did u set up the oil cooler boss thinkin of installing one one my hawk250dlx
It was fairly easy make sure you get one that comes with the part that replaces the original oil filter cover and has the 2 hose connector.
@@SM-Tackleyou have a link for it
Here you go my man, I am pretty certain this is the same one I used.
Can you use this motor to charge batteries on the boat ?
No unfortunately
Your review was excellent. Cool that you included the hummingbird information. Good variety of camera angles. Thanks!
I am getting better. I stopped using a gopro because of poor audio, and always uploading new things!
Ok you are comparing my 95 civic to a 2023 tesla 😢
some people still prefer the old 2 stroke though. For the power to weigh it has it beat, but as far as getting parts or finding someone that works on them is getting harder to find
Did you have to put grease on the prop
No, you fill the lower unit with lower unit oil though
put your kill cord on mate please
