How do you get the walls so smooth? Is that because of the level 5 finish or is there another step when painting?

Should use LVL studs if you want it straight as an arrow (also use them in the tile shower walls and kitchen cabinet wall. The strongest straightest and best stud on the market. Look up BC Versalam LVL studs

Interesting. However why would one want to avoid shoe molding in a home? Is shoe molding considered unsightly? Or is it out of fashion nowadays?

Do you know if it is necessary to use a bigger range hood than your range? For instance using a 53 inch insert for a 48 inch range? Thanks!

I'm an avid DIYer, ive done framing, flooring, installing windows. tile, carpentry minor electrical and plumbing,,, this is my passion but have no idea how to get started. what was your process like? My degree is in graphic design but I turned to programming- go figure right? anyway , if you were just starting out, what steps would you take? what would you do in this day and age?

Hi Erin. Great video. I am in the process of painting a oil gloss base on a bathroom door & frame and yes there are lost of runs & sags due to that I am a inexperience painter. I just want to ask that 7 days after 1st coat, can I sand lightly and paint a 2nd or final coat?

I used a builder suggest by my architect. They were the most corrupt horrible two-faced builder ever and were in cahoots with the trades getting kickbacks. Hardly ever showed up but always wanted money. I weas the one who ended up doing the3 builder's job so I ended up firing the builder and managed the project myself. Now I am building another home. My architect told me the majority of builders are 'terrible'. Great industry!

Looks great. Good info! Thoughts on large panel drawer fronts - esp on the bottom drawer in a bank of drawers. Centered on the panel (top to botttom) doesn’t look quite right and can be a little more difficult to reach down and open.
