Standing there sniffing the air thinking, can I smell a garden clogg that needs rescuing?😂
😆I hope not. These badgers stay well away from the house until everyone has gone to bed.
There is very little of that sort of behaviour here, they are too well fed!😉 I am now claiming to have a pet badger, even if she lives in the wild. She's had a name change from Peta(pet her) to Cloggy because she came partly into the house and stole a garden clogg, it was found next day halfway down the garden with badger size teeth holes . Her dad also lets me stroke him now, or at least tickle him under the chin, while eating. Could life get better, other than winning the lottery. 😂
That's really cute! I've only had a bird feeder stolen 😆 Though someone I know had one of his cameras taken. The video from another camera showed the badger running around with it 🤣
@@MadBadgerLady-hi5gj animals can be a bit strange, I had a very friendly fox once who clearly didn't like me wearing hats. He would keep looking till I took it off and then grab it and run, then come back for more food happy that I had a bald head showing. Cloggy came to the back door again last night, I am in two minds about letting her in, it would be fun but could be hazardous at the same time.🤔
@@chrisstephens6673 How funny😆🦊 It's amazing Cloggy comes to your door but perhaps not a good idea to let her in. She might run off with ALL of your shoes 🤣
@@MadBadgerLady-hi5gj that's the hazardous bit🤣
I learned some years ago whilst watching/photographing Badgers at their sett that putting food in one small area can create conflicts (I was using simple peanuts btw). Such food concentrations are probably quite rare in nature (especially near the sett) so I felt that my actions were generating friction within the clan which would not have otherwise happened. These days I spread the peanuts out far and wide which seems to stop the conflict between the adults. I still get the odd squeak of complaint from the cubs when Mum won't let them have ALL the peanuts but that's Badger cubs for you 😀
That's interesting to read Paula and makes sense to me. Thanks for sharing.
Yes. You are right. I usually spread it out a bit better than this. Though there's often only 1-3 badgers coming to get it and I counted 6 here. They must have been hungry 😆
Lovely footage 😊

You are so lucky to have these beautiful visitors❤.
Yes I am. I feel very privileged 😄
Beautiful ❤ thanks for brightening my day 🙏
Thanks. I love to share these beautiful creatures 🦡

@@MadBadgerLady-hi5gj maybe one evening check out 'Cornish Wildlife Watch' Badger Cam,I've been watching the Badgers for over 3 years, usually after 8pm 😉🦡
maslo yes
I wonder what that was about...
Yes I wonder. He didn't seem very happy 😆
🥴🙈😊👍
Amazing, engaging, and outstanding. Like 10
Thanks 😄
Its quite unusual to see badgers outside in the daytime. Such beautiful animals and their stripy faces are so unique. Love Badgers.
Yes. This is around sunset. I love their little stripey faces 😄
Nice footage 😊
Thanks. I think they look so sweet!
I have got hold of Chris. Thanks for your help.
Did you know that there is a programme about Brian May and badgers on BBC 2 this Friday at 9.00 pm?
I'd heard about the programme but didn't know when it was on so thanks for letting me know. I'll be watching 🦡🦡🦡
You are welcome. I was trying to let Chris know but I can't find him as yet so I am going through your videos to see if I can find a comment from him. I hope that you enjoy the programme with on Friday.
@@patreddy1610 How kind! He commented on Badger Alert.
Thank you I have managed to find him.but am unsure as to whether or not he receives it.@@MadBadgerLady-hi5gj
That is awesome
Thanks 😀
A badger from another sett came this week and she normally smells when one of ours is approaching, thus time she was too engrossed in eating, the resulting chasing, "vocalisations"and fisticuffs was quite upsetting. 😭 Talk about split personality!
Oh dear! I hope you were at a distance from it all! These are all from the same clan. The nervous looking badger is the injured female. The second badger is the main man, Chubby and the third one is a cheeky youngster.
@@MadBadgerLady-hi5gj aren't they all cheeky?😉
@@chrisstephens6673 Yes 😆
I thought that I would let you know that there is a programme this Friday at 9.00 pm on BBC 2 about Brian May and badgers.
Lovely 😊 I've been watching them for a few years on a Cornish Live stream, they often get spooked, run off, then shortly after return back,as they are still hungry and want some food 😁
Yes they do. They make me laugh!
Hi - i am mad about badgers. Can you tell the link ?

They often lie down but it did give the impression it was limping.
Yes, this one has been limping for a few weeks now, possibly been in a fight. She seems to be coping OK, grabbing food and limping off with it. Probably just needed a little lie down.
Did you know that there is a programme on BBC 2 this Friday at 9.00 pm about Brian May and badgers?
@@patreddy1610 thanks for the reminder but I'm pretty sure the word has gotten around, personally I'm not sure I want to watch as I don't need convincing that the cull is pointless, I've known the science and conclusion is flawed, country vets and farmers in the family.
I do not agree with the cull. I think.that it is disgusting!
So that is why they come around and make my hand muddy when i feed them😂
🤣yes. They've probably had a go at your garden first 🤣
@@MadBadgerLady-hi5gj luckily having a wildlife friendly garden, you dont notice any digging. Wildlife being an euphemism for let nature do its thing without any hard work from the household to maintain a pretense of care, haven't even needed to mow the lawn, sorry, mud patch for a couple of years. 😉

No, although it does look like it 😆 There are nuts and pieces of fruit scattered onto the lawn and the badgers are tracking it all down 🦡🦡🦡
