We saw the Broadway production streamed to local cinema last night and must say I was left feeling disappointed having seen this version twice now! I so wish this cast would rejoin and tour again or at least make their soundtrack available! Far superior!!! 🥰

I saw the US traveling show last night. Life changing!

Going to see in Portland next week - anticipation!!!

This looks awful.

This show was so boring, made no sense & was extremely confusing. It was trying to be with the times now but, just as you got used to one character another showed up leaving you more confused. It was the WORST show I’ve ever seen. The story didn’t work & was like the writer tried to weave multiple stories from other pieces into one. The music didn’t go together with the show at all. It is very realistic that they would have not one but, two interracial stories at the time. One man who is older trying to marry a pregnant black woman & the other character having an affair with a black woman. Plus, the language with the use of the F word was too much. Back then people did not speak like that. They also would not have had a boarding house with a Caucasian owner & black inhabitants because, how the terrible racism that existed during that time. There was ONE blonde in the show. One. I actually fell asleep because, it was so boring & woke up 🆙 it of respect for the actors trying to polish a turd that never could get polished😅 I actually felt bad for the cast & crew. I’m happy they got paid. It was just so bad:(

The voices were beautiful. The acting was stiff, and the play itself was disjointed and had no payoff for any of the storylines. I regret the time I spent watching this.

I'm obviously not smart enough to get this show. I saw the national tour. Fist off, the performers are incredible. Obviously incredible talent just from their acting, singing and playing instruments. The orchestrations are beautiful. Wonderful songs that Dylan wrote and done a tremendous honor by Simon Hale. That being said, it was nothing like I've seen before. I saw one reviewer describe it as a play with musical interludes. That's what threw me off. In some instances the performers would start into song and others someone would pull out stand mics for solo or groups of ensemble would sing around. It just threw me off. Not to mention you must understand this is NOT a feel good story. It is about despair, human failings and struggling to survive.

This cast wasn't a patch on the original 2017 Old Vic cast who took the show into London's West End. I saw both and was left disappointed by the 2022 touring version of the show

Seen it on its first release in London FANTASTIC- As a mad Dylan fan I wish i could buy the video.

I've seen lots of versions of this song from this show, some live and some recorded and this is the best by a mile

In popular music you can get by with some talent and some recording technology but, in live theatre you have to have the chops. This is two women standing at two mics and a piano behind and abundant talent and feeling for the song.

Bravo! I saw Girl From the North Country in 2018 at the Public Theater. It was incredible. My husband is a classical music aficionado and I’m all about Dylan. Sometimes, though, the twains meet. At intermission he said, it’s poetry, isn’t it? He got Dylan. The interpretations of the songs are spine-tingling.
