Greek flutist Polychronis Karamatidis and Romanian guitarist Matei Rusu made their debut as Duo con Spirito in 2015 in the "Night of Classical Music" in Maastricht. Since then they have performed more than 150 concerts in more than 5 countries.
Through the grace of their music, the duo aims to take the audience into the world of classical music. By embracing the works of living composers, Duo con Spirito is focusing on enriching the repertoire and promoting the scene of contemporary music.
After graduating their Bachelor in Maastricht under the guidance of Prof. Philippe Benoit and Prof. Carlo Marchione, Duo con Spirito followed the Kammermusik Master Programme at Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Prof. Janos Balint and Prof. Thomas Kirchhoff.
Duo con Spirito have been awarded numerous prizes in international chamber music competitions. The flute-guitar chamber music ensemble has released its first CD Debut in 2020.
