it is now December and I have planted 12 Tulip Poplars, 4 Mulberries, 2 Black Raspberries, 2 fringe trees, 10 Maximillian Sunflowers, 6 Weigela Shrubs, 10 Coneflowers, and a half acre of wild flowers. I cant wait for spring to see all this start popping up.
I just used mine yesterday, like you Im very happy with it. Easy to use and clean up was a breeze
i have a couple of trips thru with mine and i love it. thanks for watching
good news, its Wednesday and everything is mostly back to normal. was a very brief issue
Great news today, i have plants coming starting tomorrow. Now i get to start moving forward again on the garden
Tried the intantvap lite this week and love it!. Far better than the wand vaporizer ive been using, faster, easier, more complete vaporization of the OA.
Great to hear!
I'm curious how much OA you are using for two supers and a medium. 2... 4...?
the medium on top is just a feeder i will be using 4g for the 2 deeps
Great video from the uk. I think as your on double brood you need at least 4g.
Thanks for watching, 4g is probably the best rate, This was my first OA treatment so I was cautious. I plan to treat again this weekend with 4g each.
Glad to hear you like the compact unit! we think they will help alot of smaller beekeepers. Welcome to the lorob bees family! -Rob
im brand new to the wonderful world of Bees..... is this a tool to combat mites? ive been doing alot of research as i would like to set up a hive once winter is over
this is on of the best tools right now for the backyard beekeeper to combat the varroa destructor mite. Other methods along with this should be used to control them
A lot of beekeepers are really liking those, grats.👍
I watched a lot of reviews of the compact and the original, then i saw Lorob bees review the lite. I thought about it 1 day before ordering
Nice!
Thanks, glad you stopped by
Morning Keith.👍Thanks for sharing, Blessed Days...
👋😁
Greetings😁new sub, thanks for sharing your bees with us, Blessed Days...
Thanks and welcome to my channel
What keeps the sugar water from draining out?
as the water drips it creates a vacuum in the bottle, as the bees feed thru the holes it will slowly allow small bubbles in allowing more syrup to be extracted. drastic temperature changes can cause expansion and accelerate this but I have not had a problem yet. thanks for watching
Thanks for the invaluable content.
Thanks for watching, spread the word :)
On one of your other videos, you did mention your location. Northeast Arkansas. I've just returned, yesterday, from the 2024 Arkansas Beekeepers Association Conference up in Mountain View, AR. Now I wonder if he had seen you there. Well, I am located in Southeast Arkansas, and I've just moved, and moved my colonies from Southeast Texas just 2 months ago. So as you can imagine, I am getting acclimated to my new environment, and so are the girls . I am a new beekeeper as well, however, I believe that I will always be a newbee, considering dealing with this amazing insect, the honey bee. I will Keep on learning. Later....
I have been in Southwest Arkansas, Magnolia area a lot always thought that would be a great area for some hives. I haven't been able to make it to the Arkansas Conference yet, I will be at NAHBE in January :) i believe this is a journey without an end myself, such a fun and challenging hobby
Where are you located, it helps to know the beekeeper's location, since that governs, to some degree, why a beekeeper does what he or she do.
in the description area it shows my location BTW its Jonesboro, Northeast Arkansas, Thanks for watching
On the first colony that you inspected, you did rearrange the outside two frames and you ended up placing them on the other end of the hive. Why rearranging? Don't the bees get disoriented when we return the frames in a different configuration? They will eventually do fine, but it takes energy to reconfigure their setup. Good video, thank you.
They were empty frames it wont matter much at all, if they were brood they all need to be in center then honey then emptys,
Sir I just have to say you are so relaxing to listen to. And your beard is absolutely majestic!
Thanks I'm happy you enjoyed the video, and the beard :)
Never had bees myself but this is such a relaxing video and very informative - keep it up man!
Thanks for the comment just keep watching and send your friends over
This is a Great Video by Mr Ed on some additional box choices. th-cam.com/video/5pR2WuP4NuQ/w-d-xo.html
I'm from the UK we have seen not many bee's this year?? I no nothing about bees , bee keepers are saying it's not normal 🙄
thats not ever good we need the bees more than we think
definitely not a good sign, ngl. bees pollinate everything. sure, other wildlife can help, but bees are the keystone to nature. if they don't exist or are fewer in number, you'll have less growing vegetation, which affects animal numbers and so forth.
I miss my bees. I had four hives for several years in Connecticut. Lots more work than one would expect for a creature that is so industrious.
They can be a lot of work at times, but i enjoy just watching them work too.
Where are you from? I’m in Powder Springs, Ga. And just made 5 years as a beekeeper.
Jonesboro Arkansas
i have been beekeeping just over a year now and love it.
Sound is very low because my mic came unplugged, things happen ...
hey hi nice video i'm a bee lover so i love to watch your videos waiting for the new one 🖖
Glad you like them!
