I'm a Chevy guy but don't understand why so many people put Chevy engines in Ford cars. It's just wrong. Ford has had so many very good engines. 298, 302, 351 Windsor and Cleveland, 427, 428, 429, 460.

I drove one in the '80s that was for sale for $3,500 bucks with a vette engine and a 4-speed and side pipes, big regrets in not buying it but I was overwhelmed with what it was... Overwhelming This sounds insanely fabulous with the double overhead cam four!

Yes Nice car. I have the same Bj8 of 1964. What can i say, the rear end ratio is too short, the second gear ratio is too close to the first gear. Gets easily too hot in trafic. Too hot in the cockpit in sommer. Otherwise, i love it ! The factory annoncement of 150 hp of the engine is not true. Its rather 115/120hp at the max in standard form.

I now own this truck and am slowly restoring it. First thing I did was fix that oil pressure problem with a simple regulator replacement. Needs plenty of work but looking forward to driving it in the snow before tearing into the engine to fix leaks (oil, exhuast, etc) and fixing up interior. Electrical is an ongoing learning process. Engine runs smooth. To follow, see my videos "Project Laforza".

Nice project! This car must have suffered from a lot of neglect for the bumpers to be that corroded. The chrome finishing of the bumpers in the factory was of the highest standard of the time.
