On this channel I post my adventures and stories around the games I like. I mainly play MMORPG's and Extraction shooters.
New World - PVP Servers SEASON 7 is a MIXED bag
Coming up 21st of january; PVP servers. Will it divide players more or be the catalyst to something great? Hopefully they will leverage seasonal servers to experiment with not only more content but also diverse content.

What an experience it has been the last few weeks. Many experiences with the company and solo. The game has so much more potential and I hope they will leverage that in the season 7 and beyond. 00:00 Intro 01:22 Will it be open to casuals, enough rewards? 03:40 Will it be too meta & content besides wars 4:49 Will they take risks, why wipes? 6:42 Dev's barely sharing information
What to do after Level 65 in New World: Aeternum (Endgame)

I think there is more than just killing and hacking and slashing, I feel like its underlooked the amount of content you can do without having to engage with PvE or PVP. Like housing or crafting, in this video I will go in depth about what I think you can do after you have reached level 65 in New World: Aeternum. Endgame is not only raids or PvP trust me lol. 00:00 Intro 00:42 Too Many Expectati...

Personally, I feel farming is going to be impossible. You're always flagged so farming wood or another in demand item is going to be insane.
Yeah thats my worry too. I just want to chill and farm, but there's barely players and economy is trash in main servers. SO I have to kinda go to the new ones but I dont really want to constantly PvP and get wiped when im farming so I feel you.
I am fairly new as well and I am almost at 300 hrs myself. I am not much into PVP and the game is already heavily driven by PVP. I feel like I am left out of the party in a sense when it comes to lots of content mainly because everything is behind PVP. For example, why can't we have PVE company buildings or camps we can own? There are ways it could work and things to do with that type of content...base build and defense content or economy battles. All I know is that if PVP gets forced even more I may just stop playing. Half my friends already have fell off because they hit level cap and are basically done with the story...
Yeah I feel you, try joining a faction PVP is way more fun that way. But when it comes to your idea, I really like that and resonate with that idea of base-building. You do have the "Invasions" where a certain time of a day in the week a city gets attacked by the lost (cursed) enemies. And you have to hold off for 5 waves which sounds easy but its insanely difficult. And its like 50 ish people if not more maybe even 100. Where you have to make sure they dont break into the stronghold. There could be more of that or dynamic world events, building stuff a co-operative put your heads together. They do seem to try that with town project but meh the rewards are so subpar. Are you gonna join the new pvp server? You can even join our discord.
@@D1SC1PL1N3TV Kinda trying to do my own thing with my own company and Discord but it may not last if I am not able to keep friends interested. Recruiting is also very slow... I am aware of the options for PVE but invasions and such do not win you the town and that makes it less rewarding. Also, PVE is less rewarding in general. A PVE company is not able to have the perks that a PVP company would if they hold a territory. I think it would even be cool if players could take control of Caer Dun...kinda like if you were going to buy a house but instead use company treasury to pay for upgrades and stuff like land taxes or whatever.
@ Lets see what they do with seasons. At first I thought Season 7 was going to be A pvp server "A" so singular. But they explain on their website that Season will be PVP servers. So it seems they will always be PVP on season 8 9 10 etc. I hope there will be more PVE content too like the examples you're giving sound cool yeah. Its very draining PVP at times.
Great Video. keep it up man. Groetjes uit Oostenrijk Tirol.
Dankjewel gozer!!
I'll have the feeling that you are Frome the Nederlands 😅 Groetjes uit Tirol
Im the Netherlands yes! Groetjes terug!!
50🎉
To hardcore ? Definitely not.. it's basically faction Vs faction Vs faction if you want less PvP join the bigger faction and if you want more join the smaller one or none at all.if you want to just be a crafter and play economy then stay at lvl 14 😂
Yoo,! Yeah you cant NOT join a faction they just released new information on how you HAVE to join a faction. They do this to combat BOTS that try and stay under level 15 so they can farm. I like PVP alot but also have moments I just want to farm and not get 1 tapped by a fireball xD
@D1SC1PL1N3TV then I think for people like that joining the biggest faction will be the way to go will still be a risk of getting killed but alot safer then being in the smaller faction .. it would be cool to see faction numbers for settlements to know how dangerous said area is
@ Yep hopefully more co-operative play and just socializationn!!
Great game ❤❤❤
All these comments, questions and concerns they’ve addressed in a post.
Got a link? I'll check it out
If you're referring to their new post that got released 14 Jan, the video is from 13 jan : P so it wasnt out then. But the post is still pretty vague xD
Bruv i feel u man, adhd and time management lol oh what's that over there shinny lol 😅
Lol yeah, have a mission, go out to do 20 things come back without having done that specific thing you went out to do is at this point normal xD
If you mean BIS gear at FFA after 100000 coconuts turn it yea maybe. But the most part you get shit gear.
Yeah I guess healer is just lucky, im in Exodus company formerly in bikini and they say the Living mind is bis and Tanglevine Amulet because of their stats even at 700 GS. And they are pretty easy to get just like featherweight. But yeah cutlass keys has so many missed opportunities and its pretty pointless to go there
The whole leadership team needs to be fired - this is a huge waste of time and resources. It will split the player base and cater only to the hard core pvpers - which is what crashed this game from its inception.
Yeah making a seperate server just for the small niche of players that like pvp at all let alone it in such a hardcore way is going to divide the players even more I agree.
But it will be interesting to see how they will shape it, I hope they add more dynamic events that people can come together non-instanced in the world to accomplish goals etc social structures
Most older games Everquest, Ultima Online etc.. were always PvP on. and the wipe concept, again Rust still has 150k players. New World has 15k, so your argument doesn't hold water
I mean, you are comparing a shooter to an mmorpg :P
Yeah it adds that risk element, im in a company so its gonna be interesting but I fear for those solo players especially those who arent as well versed in pvp lol
This is gonna be awesome
Yeah its gonna be interesting, the wipe concept not so much but perhaps they can implement it in a way that its fresh.
I like the idea, especially being able to bring back whatever earned to your primary server
If you are forced to make a new character every 3 months to play the new content What is the point of your main character?
@@codyrichard6008 I was thinking similar. @piratesoftware talked about the game: Once human, and how Western culture doesnt like wipes because it feels like a disrespect to their time. I find myself having a similar feeling towards this. BUT it is similar to Diablo 4. Where after the season your character becomes a eternal character, yet here, you do get 1 extra slot from 4 to 5 but that means after season 7. People will have to probably start having to remove characters. Although, you cant really play on more than 2 characters anyway unless u occasionally hop on different servers for wars. Did you know you can have multiple Gear slots ( Press tab and in your character screen ingame) Here you can switch from healer to DPS to tank without having to make a different charracter
Its at the bottom of your gear screen. But yeah having wipes does induce fomo and maybe even the pressure of HAVING to play atleast for me
I going to focus strictly on pve. No thanks
Yeah not everybody their favorite thing, PvP. Lets see what the season 8 and beyond bring for PvE players.
As someone whom loves pvp and just started new world.a week ago ... I don't see why the hell you'd wanna make another character just for quarterly wipes. There's still tons for me to do I won't waste my time on seasonal
Yep I feel you on that. But there is more news on the seasonal servers now, its definitely a more hardcore experience for people who want thrill and fresh experiences. They will have a new theme every season on seasonal servers from what I've gathered. Welcome to new world its such a fun good game haha.
@D1SC1PL1N3TV I've been enjoying it. If they doing a hard-core type thing than that I get people who 4k plus hours on this game prolly need a Lil more comp .
Rust, Ark, and all those games
It's great that there's always something to do. I usually focus event first in AM then try to do one myrk run and one CK run every day. Then i figure out what I want to work on for the day. One day working wood, maybe skinning the next. But yeah i feel like playing ALL the time 😅
Im the same in this regard yeah I will start with the winter event, do some CK runs and then mutated dungeons, then the rest of the day OPR's to train PVP with my guild or solo. And if there is time left I finally get to do my favorite thing which is farm. I love that youre just as passionate!
@dahthom the only PVP I do is the three missions every day. Those I usually do right before bed. Server isn't too busy and it just takes a few minutes.
Would have been cool if progresion was slower so you can explore separate zones in depth
this has been my biggest gripe since the two console betas i participated in.. oddly enough lol
Yeah story is long as hell but you reach 65 way before you even end the story atleast I did. But farming and just taking it slow enjoying the world helps me really enjoy every area but ur right. im 200 hours in still havent been in elysian wilds and barely in the shatered mountain and top right map.
You can take your time and explore everything if you choose to. The nice thing about this game is it offers a lot of flexibility in the way people want to play.
It's a not a full character until you get those trade skills up to PAR....Its all I have been doing in this New World ! They all race to max level without reason.....not realizing it....players find out there is more to it than a wallet player .....and would be saying it lightly here. I still play because I like BOTH options of PVE and PVP. Let em cry i guess until they figure it out someday or perhaps not!
Yeah man you can make most games as shallow or in depth as you want you just have to allow yourself to see beyond your current beliefs and taste the waters beyond what you've been doing haha. I just joined a guild and play with people daily and the game is even more amazing now and I usually never play with others. So ur right let them "cry", their loss. But sad games get bad r eviews because people are so ignorant.
@@D1SC1PL1N3TV You can create your own disciplines in gaming with any game! Its you behind the keyboard....not a thousands Fly's who say its not the way! The trades skill structure in NW is still in the works from what I have been experiencing in game. Every Skill mostly spanners to another and level controlled to push you into another skill to progress with. I like it for the most part. My primary for me is Tanning, smelting, Arcane, woodworking. I push these to the top for my gold coffer. ANYhows ....Have fun ...I still do after 58 years LOL . Be well !
thx mate! I have the same problem and I think a lot of others have as well. Came back to game a week or 2 back and leveled a new toon on a fresh start server. Was thinking of completing season pass but a week left so no point so i decided to focus on the pvp track doing dailys in great cleave .. with that i have leveled my mining, skinning and woodcutting to 250 and omw with harvesting
For sure, so much to do so little time haha. Have teh same thing with battlepas now gotta be quick and level it, as long as we have fun right!
I’m a veteran player and I made money by jewel crafting…. (200k per piece) But artifacts have changed things. I would say as the server matures more people will just buy the low level resources to refine/craft things. I haven’t played in a while because of my current military deployment… Can’t wait to start playing again. I would enjoy the experience and don’t rush through it. I also had a friend that I played with that farmed everything themselves and sold stuff, did quests, etc.. and made over 200k before they stopped playing and they didn’t play as hardcore as i did. When new dungeons came out people would buy up all the ward pots and gems and then sell them went the dungeon went live…matrixes are another way to make money but requires 250… One time I bought the entire server sumptuous rabbit like thousands of them and held them for a year made a pretty penny.
Hell yeah dude! Defintely get back into the game we can use some veterans to help us noobs lol. Yeah im buying up alot of stock and reselling it later too fun to do! But something about just exploring and gathering stuff then seling that, phew, despite it not making you rich overnight it does give dopamine hits fr
Honestly, EVERYTHING i put on the marketplace sells, life skillers are busy these days apparently
Yeah for real. PvP servers might be a bit harsh and toxic but selling will I think be extra fun there, will you be playing there? tuesday its time!!
Can't wait for season 7 ❤
Two days mate!!! sheesh
NW always had potential i played on released and trashed it because no lore/story. I'm pleasantly surprised with the current narrative, the cinematics and the background storytelling. It feels polished, it has a roadmap, cross platform release is huge big money amazon behind it but you can tell the people inside have love for it, for the world they're trying to bring forward. That's what makes a good MMO 2025 will be 🔥 for New World.
I LOVE THAT ENERGY!! Yes. I joined Aeternum so I wouldnt know but I love the game. Been in a hardcore PVP guild that is anti PVE so I needed some of that positive energy thank you HAHA. You gonna play on season 7 coming 21st of januari?
I played this game a lot when the desert expansion came out and i have terrible videogame adhd.
For me setting clear goals can help, right now im lost for example on what videos to make because im already bored. But once I start playing and set a clear goal usually I get into hyperfocus and a flow again, its more so overwhelming so I feel you. Its also ok to not have a game to play. Perhaps just install the game and walk around? Perhaps a activity comes to mind. I responded to a Soul trial (raid) I never play with others but this was a great activity I would never normally do but took the risk. So try something u dont normally do perhaps ingame.
I just started playing christmas eve bro. Lvl 19 female hunter. I know it's not WOW or FFXIV.. BUT it's fun 🫡 graphics ain't all that ect.. But it'll work.
Whaat, you dont think the graphics are great? Welcome to the game! Definetely take the game for what it is, its great in its own right i.m.o ; )
I’m new player when it came to PS and I totally agree with most of this! I have ADHD and I love that I can explore and not follow the quests if I want but I’m so far behind all the technical players. I hate the PvP part and most high end PVE because I’m not up to par but it’s a great game overall imo.
Yeah right now as I mentioned below here to someone else Im kinda suddently for some reason feeling numb and I dont know what to do in game or make videos on. But this isnt new to me, for me thats why I started a TH-cam channel so I can push myself over these hurdles hopefully. Perhaps try walking around in the map and respond to activities in the chat you normally wouldnt do? I did the winter boss (WInter soldier) event, that was fun. Also did the Siren soul trial got to meet some people, probably will never see them again but a fun activity I wouldnt do normally. I dont PvE or PvP but im trying to stop saying that and just do it more. Thats why I am a healer since I dont have to crack the most DPS, but yeah perhaps we can try different activities and different classes? get out of our comfort zone. What u think?
@ I have been thinking about trying a healer build and see if that fits me better. I’m also having a difficult time with my guild/company because I have lots of questions and understand things differently than most and feel like I’m a bother so trying to find a more patient and friendly company. Might have to change severs.
I don't know what it is man, but I enjoyed listening to you talk about this. I don't even play this game, but I watched the entire video.
Appreciate it man!
Hey man, I don't disagree with you at all. I think in a lot of ways, seasonal content is some of the worst type of content that has to come gaming in an incredibly long time. This is especially true if seasons are "one and done". One month, three months, six month seasons, it doesn't really matter to me. When I play video games, ideally, I'm playing on my own schedule. It's a hard pill to swallow knowing that if I buy a season pass, if I don't feel like playing a game for a month or two, I'll basically be coming back to rush through the content. This is made even more terrible if it happens to fall on a season that ends up not being very fun, or the content simply isn't there to support it after you've already paid for it. This doubly hit me in 2019 when I was diagnosed with cancer like two months after turning 30, I had paid for a season pass in Division 2, had months of treatments, etc. Gaming was the last thing on my mind. Came back to basically having given them 10 dollars for free because I didn't even interact with the seasonal content. So it's a combination of FOMO and false scarity of them creating content that may never show up again. It's generally a pretty lame way to go about things. Wayfinder, before they turned their game into an SP game was great. You would buy a season pass, and you'd have it forever. You can just select it and do the content you want to do whenever you want to do it. Likewise, you OWNED it, basically, just like you owned the game.
Hey! First of all, what a journey you must have been through and im hoping you came out stronger and empowered. The treatments seem to have worked, I watch video's now and then on that stuff to remind myself that it can be over for anybody at any time and we should be grateful for the time we have, ur strong! Yeah Wayfinder I bought it back at EA release when they were with Digital Extremes still, August 2023 I believe, the game had so much promise, im glad they still released it but no matter how much I root for them (I got 150 ish hours in it) I just dont like the co-op singleplayer route, the world feels dead. Yep Im curious to see how they will go about it in New World, I cant say I've ever seen an MMORPG with wipes so thats a new one for me. It will give a reason to start a-new and become wealthy over and over again so it could be fun especially if that promotes more varied content and allows them to take more risks.
Note unless you have a physical copy you only own a digital license. Which you can lose access at anytime. I've been thru something similar to you. TBI, emergency brain surgery, stroke during the surgery. Had to relearn everything. Temporarily paralyzed upper right side. All that end of 2014. Fractured back in 3 places in 2021
I found out that Obsidian flux and Obsidian Sandpaper sell very well right now, you can get it easily around the level 20-25 area the Shattered obelisk bottom of the map. Around the ruins theres a ton of chests too! Obsidian sandpaper sells for 5 gold per piece you get like 100 sandpaper per run that takes 15 minutes so around 500 gold for 15 minutes. Flux sells for a bit less I believe 2,30 gold per unit. Sells like crazy, everytime i sell it its sold within 30 minutes. This is all doable low level, if ur level 65 u can do these Mutated dungeons that seem to get 1000 gold per run 2 times a day. Ofcourse doing your daily expeditions will give you some gold too and items u can salvage and sell (Plus the chests in the dungeons give obsidian sandpaper and flux I believe)
I can play one for 150-300 hours in a month before I 'meh' out on MMOs with ADHD... Does that count? Have you tried more Theme Park-y MMOs? Guild Wars or something like that?
Yeah I tried guildwars a couple of months back, I will start off super excited, bought the expansions, did not even get to the expansions before I got bored and quit, got 162,5 hours in Guildwars 2 so that 150-300 hours sounds about right xD. Got 154,10 hours in New world now and havent been bored at all so hope it sticks lol how many hours you got in new world?
@@D1SC1PL1N3TV 200 hours in New World, with 80 hours in the Beta before release. Now; that whole 200 hours was ON Release. DEF also struggle with the thing you mentioned about 'getting in late' and feeling like everything has 'been done' in MMOs. It's why my Stupid Lizard Brain LOVES a New Game Release. Especially MMOs.
@@casediedwell5094 Yep, gotta set goals for yourself in new world thats trading for me, being able to sell stuff others need feels rewarding. Also seasonal servers will help that everyone starts anew
I struggle with this heavy, Play it 7+hrs every day after work for 3weeks. Break pattern for a day and then dont start the game up again. GW2 was rough to get through the story, i got halfway through Expac1 and kinda gave up. Cracked 260hrs in NW on release, may give Aeturnum a go.
@@JD3industries Aeternum is really nice, it feels very digestable, easy to understand systems. I'd stay away from PvP personally and stick to just crafting and gathering, F10 to hide hud, bottle of coca cola or a cup of tea and just zone in! Seasonal servers coming up next month too good time to get your crafting skills up to par before they launch :D
I just started playing this on Xbox and am loving it, you should try out Old School RuneScape also.
Welcome to New World!! Yeah this game is something else, not just visually stunning but a good MMORPG, hope they add more PvE content. Yeah I couldnt really get over how Grindy that game feels lol. I used to play Runescape alot when I was 15 though
Runescape is also a true love game good old times
I'm absolutely loving leveling through the relaunch. I was tough on the initial release but they managed to bring it back it's amazing. 2025 looks fire for new world.
Yess! Its been a blast, leveling doesnt feel like a chore. The game has alot of mechanics that I want to understand such as crafting so im going for that, glad you're enjoying the game too! Lets wait and see what they got cooking for 2025 for sure
I’m a new player. I have complaints about this game but this is definitely not one. The game has a great chill vibe to it. I’m still playing it.
Ey as long as ur enjoying it right? Find what vibes with you for sure and see if thats plenty enough to stick around, for me it is. PvP is toxic and games is riddled with cosmetics, but if ur willing to look past such things, a gem. Welcome to the game!
Trying to find people to chill/loot with but it seems like everyone is level 65 and just wanting to do wars n stuff. I don’t quite get the whole, group, faction thing yet.
I must be honest, I think the people who remain now are mostly PvP'ers yeah I'd recommend just put on a podcast, find ur craft such as jewelcrafting, swordmaking etc and farm the requirements. Gives you incentive to go out in the world! Faction thing is pretty pointless unless ur heavy into PvP. Im far from done with this game and I dont touch PvP anymore, I just loot, chill, and experience. But ur right hard to find people to play with besides PvP. thanks for watching!
Play some Witcher 3 music while playing is the shit
Need to re-visit that game and finish it fr
If u do get back to that game take ur time and enjoy the game even side quests it ain’t like other shitty games u see today
@@Kilo66-c5t yeah true, good worldbuilding, new witcher game coming up too!
I love going farming in this game, just chopping away at stones in a certain rotation, while smoking a fat joint, literally my comfort pasttime
Immaculate vibes for sure.
It’s the game I go to, to chill. Will happily grind it and follow the trends when new updates come out, but most of the time, it’s just a chill time.
Yup its definitely a game + world thats so well done, nothing feels out of place or randomly placed. Very intentional, glad you enjoying the game too, thanks for watching!
60k-8k players in a few months but its fine I just want to loot chill talk vibe anyway, and occasionally see some players in cities or the world
