Nice one thank you😅❤
Support native polinators by planting species native to ur area instead of european grasses and plants buy native fruits whos farming benifits native insects rather supporting mass monoculture and the useage of pestosides leading to the insect population collapse
👏 I totally agree with you 👍✊
What’s with the loud shitty music
Helpful for a beginner. Thanks from WA.
I’m glad you found my video helpful. I hope to make some more in the future Thanks
It seems to me that if they have got to that point, then they need to be checked up on more often?
I’m wanting to get a couple of hives for personal use.
That’s awesome. Bees are a lot of work. You need to check the brood ever 4-7 weeks depending on the honey flow.
Thank you for a very informative video, you make it look so easy!
I’m glad you were able to take something away from it. Thank you 😊
Great comente congratulate I am in your side good information Great
Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m glad you can see the importance of looking after our bees.
Damn man, the intro @ 0:34 scared the bejeezus out of me, turned volume up right before it too LOL, may wanna slightly turn that down in editing 😂😂Anyway, thanks for a good beginner video!
same here! voice is too quiet & music is too loud!
This is great, thank you so much. We are in UK and just got our first colony
Congratulations on starting your beekeeping journey. You will love your little ladies. Just take care in the cooler months to protect your hive.
Love them so much. Bit chilly
You do it for the love of the land and animals ❤and your family.
So cool
Thanks so much

Where about in Bethania I live in Bethania and lost my hive Radke Road
Our bees are on Edinburgh drive, not far from your road. Are you planning to restock your hive?
Bon soir je suis du Nord Afrique ( Maroc ) est ce que tous ces étages tu les a posée à la fois
Great video, i am a new bee keeper in North Queensland. Can you tell me why the sheet of iron on top of hive? Is that for shade or protection from rain?
Hey Stephan, thanks for watching! Yeh the tin is two fold for us, one it keeps the sun off the hive and two it stops rain coming into their entrance. Early on we had issues with the rain and it backfilling in the hive if it wasn’t 100% level. That’s why we also went to mesh base boards. If our hives are out in direct sun most of the day I screw a chuck of off cut wood under the tin to create an air layer
👍👍👍
What do you do to manage the backyard (healthy) hives expanding indefinitely? Do you just sell the NUC, or do you recombine later in the season before winter?
Great question. We are still expanding our hives, we have over 70 now. Sometimes you have no choice but to make a split. However some of my hives don’t need to be split every year. I make sure they always have room in the honey super and I rotate brood frames up into the super every harvest. A lot of times this stops the hive from thinking about swarming.
@@theurbanbee Thanks for the reply. I have also been rotating brood frames up, but in peak season here in Brisbane I struggle with swarm management. I had two swarms in a few days this year. I might look towards splits and selling NUCs. I am not too worried about the loss of bees of a swarm, but moreso being a good neighbour and beekeeper.
O problema da enxamiaçaò è a falta de espaço .tirem a grade aumentem o espaço . Deixem a rainha por ovos naò a limitem quantos mais ovos ...ela pozer mais mel teremos assim me diz a minha pratica
Watch a couple of your videos found them to be very informative, I have just started into bee hivesand find your videos very helpful please keep them coming cheers Richard
Thanks Richard! I’m glad you like our videos
Thank you for the video.
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
Any change of a garden tour? Looks like a nice food forest.
That’s a good idea. We are big on urban farming and regenerative agriculture.
Great vid!! Loads of useful information, Thankyou
I love this vid, great how you explain things. Great info mate Thankyou!
That’s so much Michael. Appreciate your support. If you ever have any questions, post them up and I might be able to make a video about it.
There is a couple of things you need to keep an eye on. They may not been going to swarm but supersede. Also the new Queen may not survive the mating flight. Only time will tell but you have a nice hive just the same.
Very nice videos....i'm beekeeper from Greece🇬🇷 and I have Chanel in youtube Thanos Revenisios
Great video - 30 stings - not for me - just give me the honey.
