Greyscale Animation presents "Oren's Way", a short film by Keika Lee.
A 2D animated fairy tale about a clever princess who must capture a magical Golden Fox in order to save her kingdom from eternal sadness but on her journey, she conquers obstacles - the last of which reveals a hidden truth about herself.
This animated short film was screened at film festivals all around the world and successfully funded on Kickstarter. It's a princess story that was made to encourage and inspire little girls all around the world to believe in themselves and never give up.

( spoiler again again ) The tapestries show like a really big and elegant fox but in real life, the fox was just a normal-ish gold colored fox except it had three tails. It’s so realistic people tend to over exaggerate things for stories and myths, especially back then and I love it. 😂
( spoiler again ) BRO I ALSO KNEW THAT THE FOX WAS THE ONE WHO LEFT CUZ HE/SHE WASN’T HAPPY ANYMORE! This proves that you don’t need your story to be mysterious or to subvert others expectations. All you need is a good story. I’m happy I knew it feels cool to have known.
( spoiler ) HOW DID I KNOW! So at first, I was like it would be cool if she ended up having to fight for her own hand, but then she was with her friend, and I thought she told him to fight for her so I thought it was him, but then when it revealed that it was her, I was like YEAH! I mean, technically I didn’t know because I was tricked into thinking that it was gonna be her friend, but I did know at the same time sorta at least I count it that way. Good job tricking me 👍👏👏👏 Trick doesn’t sound like the right word because trick is of malice, but I don’t know what the correct word to use is…. subverting my expectations? I don’t know that doesn’t sound correct either. I guess it is though…. 🤷♀️

The 3 tailed Fox brought their kingdom prosperity and happiness, and in return, the king repaid it by locking the poor thing up. The Fox ran away not only because it wanted freedom, but because it felt betrayed at being locked up for the happiness of others. Happiness cannot and should not be gained at the cost of someone else’s, it must be shared.

an absolutely amazing film! i love how the princess was facing herself and instead of battling, she took acceptance of herself and her past hurt. i just woke up so that’s as good as i can explain the part i liked best. an incredible animation with a powerful meaning, i love it!

14:26 i was at first like omg no he doesn't accept it but then he smiled and gave her a hug and just made my insides all warm inside. I don't have any siblings, but I can imagine what you would do for your loved one and seeing that she went out deceived him and risked her Life to give life to the land again. It made me really like her brother and that he was just looking out for her but I love this short❤

Some of the most amazing animated stories I've ever come across use zero spoken dialogue, instead letting the musical composition and animation speak. It takes so much more heart and artistic expression to effectively convey a story with no spoken words, and, curiously enough, they often have an even stronger emotional weight as a result.
