It was a really good day.. we went the Sunday loved it

You’ve just got to love the skills on display at this type of event…from the knowledge of a specific era, the electrical work in making it all happen, to the recreation of a lifelike scene in miniature….brilliant. Though I don’t have a layout myself due to other modelling interests/ commitments I love watching the layouts that other modellers have created and the skills used to build them….👏👏👏

Excellent show but noticeably less footfall which was also noted by traders.

It was my first time of witnessing Pete watermans laypout yesterday. I wasn’t overly impressed by it. Yes it was big and you could run long trains but as far as points of interest went I got more enjoyment from the smaller layouts at the show.

Thanks Phillip for sharing. In a sense I was sad to miss seeing Tornado, but I was there with by eldest who was a 7 yr old when Tornado was first at the GCR. That has precious memories of him sat on the Fireman's seat and me standing at the back whilst Tornado was at Louchborough.

First time I saw Tornado it was quite theatrical and surreal. Like seeing the lost Olympian Zeus statue respawned.

Lovely to see the steam traction engines on display. The pity is that Mr Caldow didn’t bring his traction engine to the Enfield Pageant of Motoring this year.

Don't know where your descriptions come from but they are incorrect - F6 Ignition??? There is no such thing, engine start maybe but definitely not ignition! F16 cab warning bell??? Warning bell???? Its an Audible AWS bell indicating the signal ahead is green. Very bad engine sound on tge HM7000, doesn't sound anything like a class 73 engine, electric mode is even worse, I worked on the real thing and this chips sound is awful, the only thing that's right is the sound of the compressor. Good video but really need to check your descriptions, keep em coming .

Loving the old rail bus!! It’s the first time I’ve seen one in England, although I’ve seen quite a lot on American layouts!!

some very nice layouts, somehow the O gauge layouts seen I like the best, the GWR St.Mary, like the theme. And dock Green, such a big scale in such a tide layout, a good prove that with some adaptation you can fit even big scales in thighs places. very nice video, looking out for part 2

Another wonderful model railway exhibition!! My favourite may be the London Festival of Railway Modelling, but there are so many shows that I can’t keep up with them.

I used to volunteer on the Epping Ongar Railway from 2013 to the end of last year.

On Saturday I was told that the amount of WiFi being accessed ,overwhelmed Pete Watermans magnificent layout so communication between the various blocks kept failing. Dunno whether Sundays efforts were more successful..Still did get the world record for mobile layout .

That class 37 is a lovely model , but it’s a bit big .I think it’s one to one scale.

The Welsh layout is just gorgeous!! It reminds me of the holidays I used to have in Wales.

Lovely to see the type of Southern electric on which I used to travel to Kingdom-Upon-Thames as a boy.

Glendram Distillery!! Great layout!! One of my cousins is a whiskey drinker, taking only single malt.
