The greatest flute band!

They set the standard for other bands to try and follow? They were the best band on the road, GOD were they good.

The sharpshooters set the standard for all flute bands in terms of performance and dedication by it's musicians,they were a class act.

Great fluting band in its day, not the easiest tune to play on a flute at that speed and walking at that speed.

I'll never forget marching with sharpies in Armagh, and paratroopers who were there to escort/guard the parade were dropping outta rank to take photos! Even the soldiers knew. Sharpshooters took something raw and vibrant; loyalist triumphalism; and gave it style and panache. Absolute perfection in every way. Good times. Bring bk the 90s lol ❤

The Sharpshooters used to walk my wee village in Ayrshire every year before the 12th. The only band that comes close is the Ulster Grenadiers from my Dads hometown of Carrickfergus. The memories!! 😍

Formed by ex members of the East Belfast Protestant Boys. Big John's brother Jamesy, likely taking the vid. Big John done some of my tattoos. lol Rising Sons East Belfast formed at the same time by ex EBPB members aswell.
