이것의 유일한 문제점은 금속 제품보다 깨지기 쉽고 금속 제품은 더 작게 접힌다는 것입니다.
I don’t get it. Since the poncho is waterproof, why not just roll it up and strap it on your pack or belt?
You could but I found that doing that with anything that thin causes rips I have destroyed a frogg togg poncho just wearing it and going about camping tasks and I think it is better to use a "armored" pouch to keep it nice and it also cuts down on noise like swish swish of it moving around just food for thought though you are your own boss so whatever works for you
Sweet review of an excellent product. This is the perfect budget light IMO, it has so many uses and works exceptionally well for the price. I left mine in my car for a few weeks when I wasn't using it and it stopped working, I think heat burns out the battery so be careful!
Interesting the same thing happened to mine it won't take a charge although I am not sure why
Not quick at all
Everyone is entitled to there opinions
Back up from the camera
I am still figuring out filming sorry
When you wear other layers under it, most of the excess material will be taken up, and you will get a much better fit. That is not the jacket for wearing over a backpack.
Good point I guess that makes sense I also saw that there are designed for body armor to be worn underneath it as well
I believe the difference is more related to different manufacturers .
That might be although they also come up with new version of stuff based on feedback and complaints
Hello Wolf, thank you for your comprehensive review which I've yet to finish watching. A question comes to mind however: I am considering this pack for 1 to 2 days mountain hikes. I don't believe the main storage chamber will hold a sleeping system, unless it is a very lightweight type meant for warm weather. Do you think one can comfortably carry a sleep system such as the US MSS attached to the bottom of the pack with compression straps?
If you could send me a email at wolfoutdoorreview@gmail.com I can send photos of different setups thank you
But to answer your question yes there are a few options
I think they are nice the liner is cool to I have one
They are pretty cool although I wish they were more weather resistant in some way without ruining the nice material
speak up please
How much are this worth used without it being stained or ripped, because i got one for around 10 dollars
It would be hard to say as the market varies depending on location if you live near a base you might get them like candy for $20 or if you live in the middle of nowhere and stumble across one on ebay because that is all you have access to you are going to pay $100+ easily so different areas different norms
Wow how pricez have changed. I just paid $218 AUD and that was the cheapest one I could find. Most were around the $300 mark
It's probably the camo and political issues are causing people to arm themselves and stock up on military equipment and it's a popular pattern now for airsoft and milsim alike but I hear you it is ridiculous cost for anything woodland anymore I used to find good deals but now everything hurts price wise and I was used to around $20 USD worst for a pouch now it's like $35-$50 so it's definitely going up although try to strategically hit estate sales and garage sales and flea markets they seem to be the best option and I have found a m81 woodland goretex jacket for $5 at a garage sale which I think is pretty good anyway keep searching and you will get good luck soon
Vietnam era almost post Vietnam, it's from 1975
Interesting thank you for the information on it
@@wolfoutdoorreview sure! As a small tip, the 2 digit number after DA, DSA, DLA, SPO etc is the year of manufacture, if it has no letters it's from before 1953 and it comes with a full date ej. "Dated Feb 5, 1951"
Thank you for the tip
Let me guess. In that waist pouch. Just save 9:30 of my life to watch other videos while sitting on the turlet.
Theoretically yes but I definitely think there is a art to putting it in as you can't shove the same items into a backpack as easily as folding and intentionally placing them inside so I believe there is a method to everything
WHY ARE YOU WHISPERING??????
Not sure
LOL, Yeah I did! I figured that out when I first seen one. I have a bunch of them for different things.
They really are handy pouches
ACU is the cut style What you’re referring to is actually called UCP
Interesting thank you for the information and for watching
The markings that look like clocks show the month and year the product was made. So at 7:36, that one shows it was made in April 2012. The arrow points to the month and the year is around the arrow
Interesting thank you for the information I assumed it was a batch code or something
Some really great information thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching and I am glad you found it informative I am probably going to go over a few different options in the future of current and past first aid kits so be on the lookout for that
Really good review. I didnt even know this existed. Will definately be getting one after seeing this, Thanks man!
Your welcome I really enjoy them to hold random stuff in my geat storage area thank you for commenting and watching
I've got one. It's great for it's purpose. The long pouch is for empty mags, but a Stanley thermos fits or whatever fits. I took mine off and added web bars using E6000 glue. Loop the 550 cord and use bungees top and bottom.
@nomadmarauder-dw9re they definitely do their job. I like the thermos idea I have also found they fit sustainment pouches on them thank you for the idea and for watching
The ribbon webbing on the sides of the zippers are to allow your opposite hand to grip onto when pulling open the zipper or closing the zipper with the other hand.
That makes sense good point thank you
You got to work on your mic presence my guy 😭. It sounds like you’re 1. Salivating & 2. Hiding from your wife in like a closet or under your bed or something, lmao. Other than that. It’s a solid 1 minute review on an interesting thing I’ve never seen before. 9/10
Yea sorry I am working on mic stuff I am testing using airpods now
Curious how can you purchase these? Because I’d like one but they are either not for sale or there’s knock offs
You can although you have to buy a acu helmet and then a woodland cover and then accessories
I like video
Thank you that means alot
Only good bro
This hat looks very similar to the Outdoor Research Wind Pro Hat.
I does I noticed that as well which is interesting
@@wolfoutdoorreview Outdoor Research also manufactures tactical gear for our military. They make a version of the Wind Pro Hat specifically for US military (made here in the USA). Currently it's not available on OR's site, just the Korean made version.
I have there balaclava and it is pretty nice
what do you do when it rains and you need the poncho ? unroll it all ?
I suppose although I personally prefer the level 6 now a days for rain protection the poncho has kinda been moved to it main purpose being shelter or a pack cover in my eyes so not as needed
I just picked one of these up for super cheap at a local surplus. I was looking for one of the hot weather OCP tops but found this. At first I thought it was a maternity blouse due to the size cinch straps but I read the tag. Seems like it could be a great hot weather top itself due to the longer fabric .. plus the FR is handy too.
These are pretty nice and a great material
Where do you find the ACH white helmet covers?
I found mine at a surplus store
Even the army knows where quality is 😂
I suppose I wish they took after this pack design a bit I definitely like the netting material is is definitely lighter than straight cordura material
I wish we had this version when I was in the army national guard, would have served me better during the deployments.
@slowtaknow they are pretty nice the medium rucksack is pretty nice as well
very cool
Thank you for watching and commenting
I mean .. I wouldn’t use that for patrols but it’s a first usually I just put empty mags
Yea I am afraid of ripping the material if you put a full mag in it or anything sharp but size wise it is pretty good
The U.S. military doesn't use drum magazines. The machine gun ammo is in a 100 or 200 round belt in a light plastic or fiber board insert. The insert fits in the appropriate pouch. That's for the Minimi squad automatic weapon. The general purpose machine gun as far as i know, has no pouch made for it's belted ammo. Back in the day belted ammo for the M 60 came in a square poplin pouch that would fit on a bracket on the MG. Don't know what they use now, but a 100 round belt of 7.62 NATO should fit a 200 round SAW pouch. And you're right to roll from the top. This squeezes the air out if the garment. Rolling the other way will push air into the hood.
Interesting you learn something new every day I would have thought they use drum mags Thank you for the clarification and for watching
Where is gen 2 level 6?
I am not sure they make navy jackets that are rubber that seem kinda old I'll look into it
@@wolfoutdoorreviewI am not talking about navy i am simply talking about ECWCS gen 2. If there is gen 1 and gen 3 then there should be gen 2 as well. Specifically lvl 6. However the only thing i can find about it online is Tru Spec lvl 6 parka
I Don't think that there is as the level system is kinda new all I can think of is a pcu patagonia level 6 or a woodland improved rain jacket
@@wolfoutdoorreview There is APECS parka
@kingnevermore25 I believe I have heard of that. Is it a usmc item?
I'll be damned. I was wrong. I was certain that there was room in the waist pack for precisely one poncho liner, and not one thing more. I attach the combo to the outside of my Alice Pack to carry the liner to supplement a lightweight sleeping bag. A really good setup is to carry essentials in the Alice But Pack on a battle belt, and attach this molle buttpack to he bottom of the Alice Buttpack. With battle belt mounted hydration, it makes a pretty light fast patrol setup.
Thank you I found it useful as well it is great for hiking and such indeed
Ik on my ames where the rivet goes into thr t handel it always cracks on both sides
That might be whoever owned it rocking the head slightly side to side I had that happen to a smaller gerber shovel expect It sheared off on the straight up and down part in a jagged line
Grunts rejoice!
Amen
You weren't prepared when you filmed this, were you?
I never am I just adapt as things come up
My bayonet has a Colt logo and made in Germany.
That is interesting they might of had a sub contractor or something I am not sure with the berry amendment and all
Nice I have some from strohs surplus and there tan
I've seen the tan ones I thought they were pretty weird to be honest I am not sure why but they are definitely pretty nice Goggles
@@wolfoutdoorreview yea also, I like the green and black are good ones but I use the tan ones for Iraq war reenactments or cosplaying the gulf war
@jaunsun interesting I wouldn't have expected that
@@wolfoutdoorreview yea
I got an one with XL ceramic level 4's for $1000. Would you say that's a good deal?
I am not sure for the vest possibly for the ceramics it would probably depend on the condition of them but if they are good that is a good deal as if it does its job you save more than $1000
.... No
Yea I wouldn't know if they have a better civilian counterpart for body armor I am sure temu is not the best idea
I like Your videos alot. Please record more often. Your voice is very good and calming. You publish the most detailed rewieivs i have ever seen.
Thank you I am glad you liked it I have many more videos coming soon
I have had the corpman version of this bag with the pockets on the inside and was looking for something just a little bit bigger. I can't figure out how many liters this bag is to know how big i should go on my next one? Do you have any idea?
Apparently it is 37.69 liters according to CIE Hub ciehub.info/equipment/loadbearing/ILBE.html
@wolfoutdoorreview I wish I could like this comment a thousand times. You're the best. I've had this bag for so long and it's traveled with me all over the world. It's been a great bag. Unfortunately it's starting to get pretty worn out and since I'm gonna be getting something new I figured I'd go just a little bit bigger. Thank you so much
Your welcome may I recommend the army medium ruck It seem pretty nice with lots of pockets and dividers and it is closer to 50 liters
The measurements are helpful man, especially for planning for setting up other kits depending on what someone needs it for
Thank you I figured it is useful but wondered why not many people say the measurements
Contract number on the tag dates this to 2016
Thank you for the information on that do you know anything about class 3 ?
brilliant!
Thank you hopefully the video was helpful
what pack is that you're demonstrating the MOLLE attachment with?
That is Known as the Camelbak MULE hope that helps
Is that 9 pens ?
If you mean total I believe you can hold 9 3 on each arm and 3 in the sholder pocket
It's fleece.
Interesting I thought it would be some sort of Marino wool or something
As they have those patagonia pullovers in this design with that I believe
I think polartec only does synthetic fabrics. I also have a full set of the level 1 silk weight tops.
I want to bid on one to get it cheap. Did you end up getting the parka in the long length. The waffle top also comes in long lengths which is why I want to get it instead of the old polypropylene tops.
@bd3199 I haven't got around to it yet although I have got some more packs and pouches to do reviews on so those will be in the future
Great review, I recently bought a modular sleep system Akmax brand. Went down the ultralight hiking gear road for years with down quilts and sleeping bags but now I'm back to using the mss system either the patrol bag and bivy or intermediate bag and bivy it's well worth the weight for how durable it is.
100% u find it better than those expensive fragile north face bags and cheap Walmart bags and I see the systems for around $150 so you would spend the same amount on 1 bag for north face or the equivalent bags for summer and winter weight for Walmart bags
Was point blank the only producer of these vests? I remember hearing about a recall of them because they were not effective as advertised
I am not sure I would imagine there were more like the flak vests before these this is all I was able to find Point Blank Body Armor (inaugural manufacturer), UNICOR (current manufacturer, since 2008) Hopefully that helps thank you for watching
