Hm...from my experiante/ ATC SCM 40 and 7/ You should push them realy loud...if you wish to get from them all they can do...from 80db+.... they start to sing. So, not for the apartmants......they are for houses ore studios. Was driving them with ATC P1.
Yes u r rite. ATCs need to be played at fairly loud SPLs to come alive. All ATCs actually need to be played at least 80db to 100db. A friend of mine owns the SCM100 & he plays them regularly at 90-100db over. They sound flat at below 80db.
@@ganck1147 I did not know....before i huck myself.....but ok, for New Year evening and some rear surcuimstances...can push them to sing. In daily surcuimstances....Wharfedale Lintons, do the music🙂👌 P.S., that I know then, what know now....Will never bought ATC..... Nothing realy wrong about, but...huh....they are simply not done for " ussual" invirotmant.

For the very first time on utube I can actually hear the grip of the amplifier on the speakers.
You're also hearing the grip of the subwoofer amp on the subwoofer cone.

Hi, I noticed that you have an ATC HTS7 (as a center channel). How does this compare to the SCM7’s? I ask because they have the same drivers, but different enclosures. Also, the HTS7 is wall mounted and this can change the in room response. Thanks in advance.
HTS easier to drive than SCM7, ( the center above were HTS11 ) but need some quality amps to drive well, best to wall mount them, if AV purpose strongly dont set as (large speaker) will blow the midrange, as AV receiver power not as efficient, my colleague blown the HTS11 center, mistaken set the speaker to large (AV receiver pioneer SC901) :)
@@kuchingtiger Thanks for the reply! I would be using it in an AV system with a 200W/400W Lyngdorf SDA-2400 amplifier. Note, I will probably set the cross over between 120 to 200Hz. I am leaning more towards an ATC HTS40 LCR. Any additional information is appreciated. Thanks.
