The centuries haven't been kind to El Castillo de Mascarat - there's only one wall left standing. But the views over Spain's Costa Blanca are wonderful. It's a short climb to the top - but steep.

El Castell de Confrides is the highest castle in the whole of Alicante province at 1,100 metres. Views from up here are amazing, over the Guadalest valley down to the Mediterranean in the far distance. Take a look at some video highlights.

The Sierra Helada cliffs on the Costa Blanca rise almost 1,500 straight up from the Mediterranean. It's a fabulous walk which leaves you with a birds-eye view of the towers of Benidorm.

Take the tram and train over the mountains from coast to coast in Mallorca. The views are amazing - and the vintage trains themselves are part of the attraction.

It's probably the most fun you can have sitting down! Paragliding the cliffs of Santa Pola near Alicante is an amazing experience. Take a look at the highlights - with thanks to Parapente Santa Pola who did all the hard work. I just came along for the ride!
