Man, how could you have used the reel with that loose mechanical spool brake?! The spool would have wobbled side to side on every throw and retreieve... It should be screwed on tight enough so that the spool wobble side to side just stops, and then it should be let be, forever. And just use your casting brake for what it says its for in its name, casting brake, either centrifugal or magnetic. If the brand of your reel cant provide a new cap for under 10$ or at all, you should throw that reel too into the water. Its like a car manufacturer not being able to procide a steering wheel for their car. Essential part.

It’s the same thing with live scope, it undermines the premise of the tournament. However if you’re just going out with a buddy and trying to catch dinner or have fun, fish with whatever you want, it’s not cheating it’s fishing.
