I agree with your opinion on g(idle), although I do like their songs. I can’t help but feel that their music has changed ever since soojin left.

You voiced my exact thoughts on why I started to distance myself away from Kiss of Life just when I started liking songs like Nobody Knows and Sugarcoat. For me, since Nobody Knows, all I see on my instagram feed are thumbnails of the group in oversexualised poses more than ones with their actual faces. It somewhat concerns me because the group consists of young adults, who got more popular when their dances got sexier. It could become problematic in the future as the members might base their self worth on their sex appeal. Sometimes, I feel like Kpop companies need to realise there's more to the sexy concept than dances with provocative moves. For me, idols who suit the sexy concept the best are: 1. Groups with grown adults who are at least in their late twenties. 2. Those who emulate a certain confidence and allure that shows that they are quite sure of who they are. This kind of confidence comes with having life experience.

Anyway SM hate RV what’s new. Why is min Heejin on merch. Why won’t YG give BabyMonster better music. Questions I’m sure we all have.

The mistreatment that SM gives RED VELVET is so frustrating.. these girls are soooo talented and have a lot of potential and the way SM just ignores them is exactly like how they treated f(x).. so infuriating! They should be promoting more, going to coachella, more mini albums and more brand deals! MHJ relationship with New Jeans is not different than Bang Si Hyuk's relationship with BTS . We have years of video evidence of weird and questionable stuff BSH made BTS go through and put up with, especially when they were very young, just to push an underdog narrative to gain/retain fan loyalty. One can say that the way BTS is "used" and "mistreated" by BSH/HYBE, even today, is a look at what the future holds for NJ and MHJ/Ador.

i don't care if idols lip sync for music shows or even award shows. time and time again, those medias are proven to be more about performance and good camera angles than live singing, even for groups with good vocals. however, all groups should sing live for concerts and if they can't to the point where they have to lip sync then that is a problem

Though I personally really enjoyed this era of aespa, it's actually refreshing to hear a fan express the opposite opinion after always seeing comments like 'x group never misses' whenever a group has a new comeback. I'd say that my only criticism towards this era is something applicable with other aespa albums after savage era : their incohesiveness. A commen trend with aespa's albums is that the first few songs align with the main title track themes and then the rest of their albums tend to explore 2 other completely different themes. I think that Bahamas would be great in a summer album, where Better Things is the title track. Live my life has a nostalgic, slice of life ending-credits-of a-movie feel that could've been great on the My World album to signify the girls reflecting on their experiences in Kwanya after having defeated the black mamba and now reintergrating into the real world. Long chat's alien concept also fits My World's concept of aespa being a phenomenon in the real world etc... Overall I believe that this album is aespa's 2nd strongest one to date, with savage still being their best.

I love XG, their first songs were some of my favorite and I hate what the management is doing with the group.

SuperNova is one of aespa’s best and the music video is so creative. Twice sadly just aren’t making hits anymore but most 3rd gen aren’t anyway. I don’t think it’s fair to say illit are completely copying NewJeans but of course there are similarities but heejin basically completely copied jeans from stying to art direction she was honestly ruthless. If your looking for something new in K-pop you should definitely check out groups like pixy debut wings, purple kisses b-side can we talk again and light sum and queenz eye. Also if you do actually check out these groups and their songs , please let me know how you feel about it .

I sadly feel the exact same way as you about Le sserafim . I was a huge fan of them in 2022 and beginning of 2023 but over time their music quality dropped and after listening to their new album I unstand them. I like all the members but sadly I can’t listen to them anymore and even their older tracks get boring over time . 😔😔

I AGREE so much with your opinion on kpop standards. So many songs from The Big Three + HYBE actually suck, but their fans pretend that they are the best things to ever exist. Like some people call EVERYTHING “heavenly” and “best of the year” when the song was horribly put together and not even that good. I also agree with “EASY”. I only started tolerated it because it was everywhere. Same with “Sweet Venom” by ENHYPEN. I hated it from the start, but because people put it everywhere, I started to tolerate it. “Smart” is horrible. I agree fully with you saying the album was disappointing. I was a big fan of LE SERRAFIM during “ANTIFRAGILE”, but I haven’t been happy with their releases since. People need to leave KARINA alone. Some fans don’t understand queerbaiting. Dancing < Singing. Both are important and that’s what idols are trained to do but they are SINGERS. I couldn’t care less if an idol trips on stage, but singing off key while SITTING DOWN is not okay. Love your editing :)

Newjeans sole purpose of debuting is to kake songs meant for the solw purpose of virality and nothing more. Don't get me started with the "song writing" credits because anyone can write a song that is fucking repetitive rhyming eachother & matching syllables. Anyine who says newjeans are musicians needs to get their brain be shut. A huge downgrade to what 2nd & 3rd gen did when releasing songs that is well written & well produced with amazing vocals. In the case of gidle, their releases after Soojin's departure were amazing, I feel like the lyrics are more meaningful since they talk about topics that affect people. I love the constant conceptual change they are trying ❤
