Sure thing! I use Actual Rates in Betaflight: Center Sensitivity (All Axes): 150 Max Rate (All Axes): 800 Expo (All Axes): .50 Throttle Expo: .35 Frame is my own custom design, this was me testing how it performs and holds up in crashes!

Sure! It’s a 5” freestyle frame, with the design intent targeting beginners in both building skill, and piloting skill. Design principles are ease of build/maintenance, and durability/crash protection. Basically I’m taking my favorite aspects from other off the shelf frames I’ve used and applying them to a design tailored to people that don’t have a masters degree in engineering or the patience to always be on the repair bench. Depending on if people like it, I plan to also release a 3” version! So far, I’m happy these clips proved it can hang with other freestyle frames and hold up to abuse!

@@propabilityfpv sounds like my kind of frame! I recently broke an arm on my current daily driver and the arms are no longer available anywhere so I’m on the hunt for a new frame. I mean it’s been a good frame, it’s the first part broken on it in over a year. Do you have a release date and approximate cost down yet or are those deets on the hush?

Thanks for watching! It’s really interesting to look back on this video. Since making this, I’ve gotten quite a bit more into the tuning process and have a much better idea of what/why/how. I’ve also vastly improved my piloting skills! At this point, If you handed me a tuned quad and a stock quad, I could definitely feel the difference, and tell you what you should adjust- all else being equal. I still couldn’t make it PERFECT, but I’d know what to look for! That being said, that’s after probably thousands of hours of practice, crashing, building, modifying, etc… I will still maintain that if you’re just starting out, don’t bother. I kinda view tuning as an incremental improvement, the last 5% so to speak. To me, it may make a “big” difference, but to someone new, they likely won’t be able to tell much difference. For now, just focus on building, flying, and repairing!. The great thing about this hobby is that you can make it as easy or as complicated as you want! There’s always more to learn and grow into! Sorry for the rambling haha, I find how beginners approach tuning very interesting.

Glad to have you! And that’s really good to hear. Racing isn’t personally for me, but there’s absolutely no denying its usefulness as a training tool for general flight skills. So even though you won’t catch me at a race on the weekends, I still try to log a few hours in the sim racing every so often!

Very difficult! I think it really helps teach momentum control in a way not many other methods do. Great way to learn how to flow as well!

Just be patient, it'll happen eventually! Biggest thing to remember about this hobby is that rarely will you get anything right the first time, but that's ok! All part of the process!

Oh man, i've been there so I feel your pain lol. I use Actual Rates in Betaflight: Center Sensitivity (All axes): 150 Max Rate (All axes): 800 Expo (All axes): 0.50 I'd caution against using a max rate that high if you're just starting out though. Biggest thing you'll want as a beginner is a nice loose and forgiving mid-range, so maybe .5 expo and 150 center sensitivity like mine, but turn the max rate down to 600-700 or so. That should give you less twitchy, more precise control!
