INNOCENT EYES (NIKKI'S SONG)
มุมมอง 1667 หลายเดือนก่อน
song I wrote for my daughter Nicole when she was born in 1982. She was killed in 2001, her mom died a couple of years ago, and this and memories are what I have left from that life. Excuse the camera angle, I'll bring it back, but I can't keep doing this song, although it needed recording. This was a happy song when I wrote it, and I insist it remain one
GROWING UP IN SPRING
มุมมอง 2487 หลายเดือนก่อน
I recorded three songs without checking the camera angle again, Zepp is gonna fire me. LOL They are all these singing head angle, but time is not on my side and I'll post them over the next three days, bad camera, guitar malfunction, or whatever. No time to be picky, although good news is we're going to go record three to five songs at a recording studio soon, and if it works out well do an alb...
FAR AWAY, by Roger Williams
มุมมอง 1518 หลายเดือนก่อน
I recently wrote this, put it on my channel, but now Bruce is back we have an arrangement here for our drummer to listen to. This one will definitely be on the album and by then it will be the full song with Mad Dog on drums. This channel is for chronicling our original songs like this, as well as playing older songs we played as a band in the 70s

LUCKY TOUCH (B W. STEVENSON)
มุมมอง 1739 หลายเดือนก่อน
In a time where I am as happy as I can be, I sing this for the people that aren't having the day I am, or the life I've been singing this song for about 50 years. BW Stevenson was an incredible writer and singer, if you aren't familiar with his music I highly recommend it

this was about our keyboard player in our band Tejas RIP LARRY STEINMAN Larry was a beautiful person, super smart kind, very very intelligent. He played a lot of stuff for me through the years to expand my knowledge including Reggae. I can't play Reggae but it was curious that's what came ou, wasn't purposely. . He fought addiction but it's over now

Good morning my brother, cool guitar playing great work ❤🎉
@@nauraG Hey, good morning, Brother!!! Good to "see" you!!!
He hid the camera because that's not him playing... it's his buddy Eric J. Roger are you anywhere in the vicinity of OTS still?
@@oldandoutskated2704 I'm in Conroe, the west side now
Great! But it always is when you're playing. It's nice to hear you gettin' at it with a Strat again.
멋진연주 즐감합니다 잘들을께요 😊
👍👏👏👏
Love this one. Great tune, Roger.
Thanks man, it needs drums badly, my drummer will be back in action shortly. Thanks for listening, brother.
Amazing player! Would like to hear about that guitar and what mods you did to it.
Thanks so much!! That is a stock Made in Korea Hamer Echotone, possibly the best sleeper guitar out there . Only the Korean, they stopped making them in 94. Now they make them in China. May be alright but I've not played one. . It's a maple top, not laminated like a Gibson. I love it!
Thank you for sharing this song. I have subscribed to your channel and would like to share with you this video of my TH-cam trailer for my channel. My wife is battling cancer for the 3rd time so editing videos that I have pre-recorded and will more than likely be posting on weekends 😎🎸🦯🌻🐈💙🩵❤️🙏🏽🕊️✝️🎼✈️ th-cam.com/video/EsKjndVctPE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=a_LGBnAfK5HQXxER

What a great, but sad, song.. L17.
Awesome live performances my friends. Your voices are great and your playing as well. Huge likes to you both.

Another really wonderful original song Roger. These are so very meaningful my friend. I loved it. HUGE like. Wonderful. You could sell this to Nashville easily.
Man, thanks so much, sorry for the late reply. In gonna get back online soon I hope. God bless!
I just read your notes Roger and they make this song even more wonderful. Beautiful song for your daughter. So very sad for your loss Roger. I lost my only biological daughter as well and it's something that you never get over my friend.
Thanks so much, and my condolences for you as well. Not a club anyone wants to belong to . Thank you so much for listening!
If this is your own song Roger, a very nice original my friend. I love your mellow sounding voice, very nice. Big like and a big like from me Roger and a new sub to your channel.
Thanks for listening I really appreciate it.
You are an amazing talent sir, and it's great to hear that American blues drenched sound of real rock and roll. The last of a dying breed. Much respect 🙏
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that !!
Really you got me playing guitar again you got me learning a song again. It's been a minute. Dusting off my old Hendrix licks lol

Well i guess since i was mentioned in this wonderful song i will say howdy to all my old friends who commented here, started out at Mrs Partens kindergarten so i saw it all. Love y'all each and every one ❤️ !
Beautiful song Peter! I feel your losses. Nice performance!
Oh my God, that's a beautiful song 🎵 I'm here with tears in my eyes, playing and singing along. How could I get a copy of the lyrics ❤
Beautiful!
Thanks sweet friend, wish y'all could have met
@@rogerwilliams2629 I was thinking the same thing!
good job thanks for this great song. i would recommend having another microphone picking up the guitar on a seperate track, as well as a better microphone for the vocals
Ok thanks!
lucky me finding this song
Beautiful. I'm glad you're still here and doing what's important to you. May it continue for a long time to come.
Man, trying. Susan has the flu and Collin and I have COVID...
@@rogerwilliams2629I can't imagine what y'all did to deserve that! It must have infected the wrong house. Take care of yourself and family.
well done Roger. Beautiful song. Glad you are back on your feet.
Love the song Roger. Man, the memories we had growing up in Spring, when1960 was still called Jack Rabbit road. Hope to see you soon.
This is the first installment I think. I could write about us and our musical journey that led to you introducing me to lots of music, including Tejas! We had some fun!!
Thank you Roger. Jack's service was Saturday. I needed to hear this. Love you like a brother.
You know we're family, I loved them and all of you. Frank and Jack, part of my life. Others in that song that are gone is my first wife Cindy, Tony Bart, Gunny, and man .. almost all of them . They live in my heart
Thanks Roger. I moved to Spring when I was 11 years old in January 1971. I lived down a long dirt road off Aldine Westfield Road, Spring Creek was a Half mile hike thru the woods out my back door, Domino road would get you stuck in the mud almost everytime, the S curves on Aldine Westfield were too sharp to go 100 miles an hour in a 1970 Chevelle and we were "big time" when Dairy Queen" came to town. LOL
How do you know you couldn't quite do 100mph there? LOL. Great to see you, Kurt
It suffices to say I called "Perry's Wrecker service" for help. @@rogerwilliams2629
County,Blues,Rock and all mixed realy good in one ... That is how I see it. Am I wrong?
Nope, that's about right!! Thanks for listening!!
@@rogerwilliams2629 I like it.Somehow your songs brings some memories
I like this type of Blues Rock music with a presence of relaxing tones . Respect Bro for your music! ! !

@@rogerwilliams2629 I like that style of music. And as I can see,you put some real emotions into... That is what I really appreciate in the misic
Yeah, fantastic video, sounds great, well played, subbed, nice share!
Thanks so much!!
Cool tune Roger, excellent guitar tone.
Thanks so much!!
Anyone that was blessed enough to grow up in Spring would absolutely relate and love this song...no one else could ever truly understand what growing up here meant and the heartache we all now have! Thanks for writing this Roger...it's awesome! ❤❤( this is Cindy Speer)
Yep, it only exists in our hearts now
Oh, thanks for subbing! Checks in the mail! Tell my brother howdy for me, my first drummer bud
I will never forget you boys playing football and goofing off while our big brothers were playing for the school! You Travis, Todd, probably Gary, the Stone kids and no telling who else! Those were the days. I love the song! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Yep, crazy how many are gone on now . But we have some great memories for sure
Oh, we was mostly fighting kids our age from the other side. Lol
Sounds great, Roger! Keep on...
Thanks Greg. Gonna start cranking them out. I did that and two others the first day I was out of the hospital, or the second, can't remember.
A great song. Enjoyed. I hope that you are feeling better bro. Just rest. Cheers.
I wish I could play a guitar like him. And for singing I will not comment, just to say -GREAT
@@Underthehelm I completely agree. A great musician. :)
I grew up in a small town of 1200 and loved it unfortunately it didn't grow up and feel to pieces from drugs and unemployment. I go back about every couple years and it just makes me sad
Apartments, bus lines, strip centers all where huge live oaks and ranches and woods used to be. I cannot reconcile it to my memories and I stay away
Love it Rodger. Made me think of a guy from the town I'm from he had an old GTO Judge they look like brand new the man would wipe the gas cap down whenever he put gas in that car she was a beauty. Going to share
I had a 67, wish I still had it!
wonderful song dear Roger😊
Thanks so much Dede!!! Glad you liked it!
Yes, this fan fun. Even if my english is not perfect I understood and like this intro 'dialogue, haha. Great performance and such a good guitar solo around 3:30 and at the end. Bravo, well done. Like 10
Thank you so much 😀
Great live performance Roger!! Sounds cool my friend! 🎸
Thanks so much brother, I think it will be a good song when it's played a year or so with drums and very tight. Thanks for listening.
