I love your idea. Thanks for sharing
Appreciate the comment. Thanks
Hello there My Late Uncle Ralph, was a Seabee and a Merchant Marine too, and he also had the same socket holders as you, he made them like they were on the ships he was on. Now there in my garage. I like what you are building
That's cool. I must be doing something right then.
I like your simplicity, i like it
Thanks, I think there is a beauty in straightforward practical use. No need to always overcomplicate things.
Nice e job, good idea and very practical, I think I'm going to do the same for my 1990 Ford F-150 bench seat
I think a bench seat would be a bit easier than these crazy headrests and funky seatbelt holders! Thanks for the comment.
Looking great!
Thanks!
Nice job. But for me, menards has nice plastic ones for cheap enough I just grab as many as I need and I am good to go. I also hear there are free files you can get if you have a 3d printer to make your own.
That works too, if you have a 3d printer you might as well make your own and customize the size and shape. But someday, my grandkids may get my tools, and having something that I created with hands, I hope will have some value.
Thanks for the ideas ! My garage is going to be built next week and I've been looking for any/all organization tips I can find. I like handmade and repurposed stuff like this vs store bought. It lets folks know " that guys a thinker, he can probably fix or make anything".
Congrats on the garage! My first "shop" was an 8x12 shed I built. I had a light, workbench, a circular saw and jigsaw and hand tools and I was happy. It is nice to have "space for yourself". Will yours be set up for specific task or more all-around type stuff?
Hey Duane, neat video, thanks for uploading! Do you still prefer your diy version over the commercially available socket strips/clips? Thank you
I am not against the store bought ones. I could see myself purchasing if I were in a hurry, or didn't have the tools or if I really liked things to be consistent. Many things I build are for the challenge and learning and sometimes the pride of having built something. The ones I built, especially the first two are kind rough, but it works for me. I appreciate the comment. Thanks, Duane
whats the music....? I like it... starts out sounding like a DI leading the count in, then sounds like it was recorded in a metal trash can.... just what I like!
It is from about 1983 from the garage band I was in. Recorded on a cassette recorder with 2 mics in an office with home built guitar and cheap equipment. Just me with my friend on drums. I'm glad you liked it and commented. Thanks
Good job 👍
@@toreharangandersen8766 thanks, that's nice to hear.
Very creative. The only thing I would consider changing is measuring from the top rail down since you already have that line perfect. Going up from the ground will cause the middle and bottom rails to be in line with the ground(probably uneven), and give a wavy appearance.
@glennbyrd1147 I agree depending on the terrain. My ground was very uneven so I ran a string-line across top so the top is relatively straight, but I wanted bottom board kind of uniform from the ground to reduce board warping in low spots. They were definitely uneven (but that's my neighbors problem). Thanks for the comment, Duane.
