Avian Influenza: What We Know and What We’re Finding With HPAI in Dairy Cattle.
On March 25, 2024, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) shared their first update regarding the detection of HPAI in dairy cattle in several states across the United States. Since then, doctors, scientists, and researchers in state and federal agencies have been working around the clock to learn about the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) into dairy cattle. Dr. Kim Dodd, the director of the Michigan State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, explains what we know so far and what those teams are working together to discover.

@msuvets8968 Helo's dog-mom here! Thank you to the entire team at MSU Veterinary Medical Center. You truly saved Helo's life. He unfortunately lost his battle with cancer on December 23rd, however, because of your care, we were able to spend 104 more WONDERFUL days with him. I will be forever grateful for that extra time we received because of everything you did for him and for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤❤❤❤

i’m a prevet at msu and deciding wether or not to go into vet nursing or to become a DVM! u guys are great
I wish MSU wasn't so far of a drive. To bad MSU can't have smaller locations throughout the state of Michigan. I live in Adrian, mi. An hour and a half is a long drive for me. It would help the older generation with caring for their pets. Some can't make a drive that far.
