มุมมอง 55K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi Music Lovers!! We are back! In today's video, I wanna share with you guys a clip of Wieniawski's "Etude Caprice" Op. 18 No.4 This is a piece written for violin, so it's definitely very technically demanding when cellists attempt at it. I spend a lot of time doing slow metronome work and I'm still struggling with intonation and the big jumps 😩 And it's so fast!! I might have played a bit too ...

How PAINFUL It Is For Cellists To Travel
These are all 100% accurate. End pin slips get me the most
As a Cello player still on Suzuki 1... I'm speechless, but more importantly, I'm starting to take second thoughts about choosing Cello...
DId you make your own transcription? i couldnt find this anywhere but its amazing
Ok but the "cellists are hot" bit caught me so off guard 🤣🤣🤣 i mean its true
Tell the airline for a larger aircraft.
THAT WAS AWESOME DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing. I couldnt do this in my dreams.
this piece is so much better on a cello than two violins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! esp when Doris plays it :DDDDDD

Thank you very much for your kind Information! I'm an Opera-Tenor-Violist 🎶 😯🎻,I fly once in a while with my Viola it is also tricky, especially Airlines such as Ryanair Wizzair 😬,also by us in Germany with the Deutsche Bahn also hard with space! Next month I'm going to travel with my Viola for a Music-Projekt to Nothern Brandenburg 2 hours north of Berlin, with a German Low Cost Train Carrier called "Flixtrain",hope it will work with the Viola 😬🙏🍀🍀🍀 Again, Thank you so much and I wish you all the best for you 🍀🍀🍀🎻= in this case à la Cello😊, Greetings from Europe 🇪🇺 "German French Swiss Border Area 🇩🇪🇨🇵🇨🇭" ,Lörrach, Germany 🇩🇪, to the US 🇺🇸 Yours, Josha 🙋♂️
Short cellist, so I can't relate 😂
The pizza chord at the end is a little off, but only just. Probably better than most cellists can do!
0:29 - any particular reason why you couldn't play the passage "Sul C?" (the violin requests Sul- G). There's a reason why it's written for a particular instrument.... but this was still a great interpretation! I really do like it! Thanks for uploading this performance!
Spare a thought for the drummist! :-)
As a fifth grade cello student, I’ve came to say that we learned this song last week, and now we are working on kodaly sonata op. 8 or whatever.
I can’t tell if this is a joke or not…
@@ardengiles wdym? It’s not that hard.
Too much trouble! Your face look familiar. Are you a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra seating on the first chair?
Amazing!
Wow as an 8th grader cellist that is so amazing I could never
Surely it's just the fastest you've ever played that Wieniawski? You make it sound like a wild horse you're trying to ride bareback. When strict tempo markings are scarce, interpretation kills any notion of one 'presto' piece being definitely quicker than another, let alone the quickest of all.
I have a rock stop without a thing that you put the chair in between, I also have a case of fabric (it's really fragile) and it doesn't have a flat ending so have to lay down to let it go. The struggle is real
What piece is this?
Where's your cello case from? It's colour is gorgeous!
Cello master race 🤠👌
I love this! I feel like the first 10 minutes of my lesson every week is just getting everything set up!
this makes me rethink my life decision after playing the cello for 9 years .......
Beautiful.
I love Yo-Yo Ma, he is such a gentleman and a very funny guy. I hope to meet him some day, but I will never be as good as him. I play for my own enjoyment. Public performances scare me.
Cellos are quite light, it's the hard cases that are heavy. I tried learning the violin, but my fingers are too fat, so I went with the cello and it was a much better fit and I love the sound a lot better; it has the range of a human voice. I also love the fact that I can sit and play. I used to play the guitar, but it gets tiresome after a while standing and playing, especially when you don't really have a space to sit.
I have never had to travel with my cello on a plane, I've heard too many horror stories of instruments getting tossed by the baggage handlers, so if I ever had to, I would have to buy an extra seat for my instrument. I did check with the airlines once about that and they said if it goes through luggage, I would be charged for oversize or I would have to buy an extra seat. Now most airlines only allow 1 piece of luggage and one carry on. To be honest, it's not worth it. It's costly whatever you do. For vehicles, I had to upgrade and get an SUV, so I get more space for the cellos. I have 3 of them.
Yes, these are issues, but cellos are the best instruments. I remember when I first started learning and had to take public transit, someone on the subway platform thought I had a guitar, another thought it was a violin. I politely corrected them, but I couldn't stop laughing on the inside; it was very funny. Cellos are not public transit friendly instruments, not too bad on the subway, but can be a huge problem on streetcars and buses, especially when they are jammed packed with people and they're all looking at you thinking, WTF?
$20? Girl those are Manhassets. They are like $50.
