I like the back story on this tune: written by John Harling, it got it's named because as the tune popped into his head, he needed somewhere to write it down, and could find no paper, only a dusty windowsill, so that's where he wrote it, in Chicago. #irishMandolin

Nice! I used to play a jig set on button accordion that started with the kesh followed by the kerfunten and ended up with Eddie Kelly’s. It was a great foot stomping set for sure. I’ve since moved the kesh onto mandolin for fun. You have great tone on your mandolin.

@johnonmandolin I'm obsessed with this tune. I'm dad used to play it on the Tintwistle and Fife ( flute). So I feel a little close to him when I hear it. Unfortunately I didn't inherit his talent. Thank you.

The mandolin is made by Paul Shippey. He does make great sounding instruments.

This is one of my favorites. I learned it on the banjo from Enda Scahill, but I'm not as practiced on the mandolin. Well done!
The Enda Scahill course is fantastic. It is a must for people learning the banjo or mandolin. Listening to John's playing is a must too. Lovely tunes played so well.
