Hey fellow white type S owner here! Loving the read though! I just installed the splash guards myself too but I'm having trouble with the rear ones. The screw on the bottom does not seem to want to tighten fully. Did you have any issues with that? And how did you get it to work? Thanks in advance!

Fantastic deal and congrats on that deal. MSRP deals are out there, but this is a first I've heard of any money off MSRP. Not my first color choice, but recommend having that Type-R ceramic coated to protect the paint more than traditional wax would.

Not I gave up on dealers after fighting to $2K over for my FL5. But they had the color I wanted Boost Blue.

you needed the 2017-2019 type R accessory ...without the flared bottom. The one you have is designed for FL5 or 2020+ type R.

That red looks good. Nice color pick. I prefer the type S. I have mine in white. I’m sure the FL5 is a beauty but I loved the interior of the Type - S.

For the door speakers I just used some needle nose pliers to break the arms connecting the original speakers and my new ones fit perfectly after screwing into the plastic

just checked and on my civic lx, I dont have any tweeters lol, but i have aftermarket alpine ones but I dont know where to wire them in because they werent pre existing

The key to these classes is to listen to your lead. We were always in gears 3&4 and occasionally 5 on the straight away . You drive to where you’re comfortable. It can become tiring.

The question here is: how much did they mark up the mf? This is similar to a transaction with a trade-in in that there are two sides to the equation. You get a good deal on one side (price of the car), but they bang you in the head on the other side (the mf).
