By 17, daughter should know what fidelity means. It must seem to OP that daughter full on condoned dad's behavior by keeping silent for 2 YEARS. So OP not being thrilled with daughter is not much of a stretch.

I was that child. I DID tell the parent that the other was cheating. Do you know what happened? I got kicked out of the house because I was 18 but still had 3 months left to graduate. I had to drop out of school and live with a family member. In that time I was alienated from my family except my brothers that knew the truth but refused to say anything. I spent the next year finding another school to finish my diploma and get myself a job. I succeeded at both and graduated. I am now 27 yo with a 6 yo daughter. She doesn’t know who my mom is and I’m fine with that. My mother betrayed me because I knew what she was doing. And to this day she refuses to apologize for her actions. Some parents shouldn’t be parents and it seems like no matter what side you’re on it’s always wrong. I hope your daughter realizes your feelings about this situation are immature and beneath her growth as a person and moves on from you.

To me it sounds like OP wanted to distance herself from her daughter, as the parent she should have tried to keep in touch with the child, she wanted to move on, but the girl was suffering as well. From a child's point of view she did what she thought would keep the family together, and it ended with a divorce and being shipped to school and not contacted.
