The public markets were mixed in Q3 2024. While both LUMA.A and LUMA.M traded above market, there was a wider gap between top and bottom performers, with many companies showing either double-digit gains or losses. Musk hired her because he knows he has, at a minimum, a captive audience of 130 million people (1/2 the US voting public) and needs someone who can maximize the revenue from that audience. It's not politics, it's numbers. He's unabashedly data-driven, even if it means keeping half the country burning in toxic discourse. So if the toxic content keeps those 130 million people on Twitter, the largest companies can't ignore 130 million people, they will be forced to advertise on Twitter and she will capture them.
